“I have visited this location quite a few times before someone dear to me had medical issues nearby at the hospital that owns 85% of the land in the area. I first met Brian awhile ago when I was in the neighborhood since I work nearby. Since May 23rd of this year I have been visiting the nearby hospital and sometimes would visit for a quick drink and grub, but recently I visited on my way home after bad news from the nearby medical facility. Brian could tell that I didn’t order my usual and maybe it was quite different, after 1/2hour I ordered another off the ordinary drink and asked for the tab. He could see that I wasn’t in the right place after mentioning bad news I recently received at the hospital not mentioned before. When I got my tab I noticed that only 1 neat bourbon was on the tab and his words were something similar to, I got you Bro that’s on me! Bartenders always and always will be great people and readers of peoples mind! They know right away how your day is goin good or bad, they can see it in your eyes, maybe even with filled from wiped away tears. I will never forget this guy for what he did at the time and what he told me about staying strong because that’s all we can do! Bottom line is that WOB is an amazing place with awesome atmosphere and even more awesome bartenders. I’ve met many others, and y’all are great but tonight Brian sealed the deal that he is my favorite bartender in Louisville and even when this struggle I’m goin through is over I’ll always visit and think back on the kindness and gratitude that he showed me on June 23rd. That day will be not good in my future because of what I learned today, but I will always remember how I was treated by the best bartender in Louisville on the exact same day. “Fun, clean, safe atmosphere! Great place to grab a bite with the kids and then a beer (or several) later on. TV set up is solid, great bar games (Pool, Golden Tee) and it has the #1 ranked burger in the city of louisville!“

“Wonderful spot. I didn't even realize it was the old Diamond's. Great food at really good prices. Lot's of pool tables and a new Golden Tee machine. Bigger inside than it looks. Very clean and had excellent service. Really neat to see the local Ole Miss Hotty Toddy group there for the bowl game :)“

“A local dive bar on the water. The food is good bar food. Loved the fried mushrooms. Very reasonable prices. Lots of TVs for sports watching. We held a conversation without shouting. The regulars were friendly, and the wait staff were too. Overall, we had a good time. Heads up, "cigarette smoke" was detectable but not overbearing.“

“I do NOT recommend this place. We went with a party of 15 this afternoon and had a truly disappointing, awful experience. We arrived shortly after they opened. We were the only ones on the outside patio the entire visit (just shy of 3 hours) and the inside dining room never got very busy, but you'd never guess by how terrible the service was. It took nearly 2 hours for (most of) our food to come out, and even then, several orders were wrong. Our drinks were rarely filled. Our waitress and other staff may have been stretched too thin, but did the manager ever come out to speak with us or try to make things right even once? nope! The food and beer prices are high and not worth the price. (Food arrived cool and tasted ok... not worth the prices.) No apologies were offered before we left after paying our expensive tabs. We will not be back. Don't waste your time! They clearly don't care about getting return customers.“

“By far the best bar in the entire city. The staff are the nicest people you could ask for, they go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of. The atmosphere is amazing, this is the only place in the city I’ll go to shoot pool hands down. Highly recommend checking out Maple Inn!“

“I love Flanagan's. My organization has held events there and I go quite often. The staff is always impeccable and the food is good. Prices are right and the atmosphere is chill. The patio is wonderful, especially the Spring & Fall. Only downside really is parking.“

“For my sons birthday, Jacob Withrow ,he wanted family to meet at the Village Anchor (10 of us ) We all have been raving over how good the food was after we left there yesterday. It all came out in a timely manner and done the way we asked , and Bravo to the chef. Our waitress Melissa was fantastic she was on to of everything and made sure we all were taken care of and happy . My husband is very picky when it comes to food and he was absolutely gives 10 stars to the Village Anchor. We all said we would make the 2 1/2 hour drive to eat there again. “On Saturday night ( May 31st, 2025), I dined inside with my granddaughter and son-in-law. Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Attentive staff. The 3 of us had different calzones and shared an order of ( huge!) breadsticks. All agreed that everything was delicious!! Reasonably priced, too! Definitely will be going back!“

“Neat place which used to be a service station. The bar was well stocked with many options. They had indoor and outdoor seating. We had reservations, but they still didnt have a server for us, so one of our team members took our orders and put them in at the bar. The burger and pepperoni pizza were good. Trendy place, limited street parking.“
