Brisket was so tender and tasty! Sauce was unique and very good! Glad we stopped!

Guy was very rude and told me they weren't even close to being ready to open, he said go somewhere else and had an attitude. I'm not complaining that they wouldn't open 5 minutes early but the fact that it was going to be a little bit before they would even open which means opening late

Excellent BBQ! Take out or sit outside. No indoor dining. Ribs are awesome! Turkey, BBQ and ham are also excellent

I love this place. I drive truck and love that they have room for us to park for great food and the food is better than most other bbq I find in the whole country. The only thing is make sure to have cash. I usually come through at night but the times I have stopped during the day and got food I haven’t been disappointed. But today will be the second time I forgot to pull cash out before leaving Union city, so sadly I won’t get it this trip so make sure to have cash. Prices are good. Not that it’s real spend or anything

my wife and I found this legendary little BBQ spot on our travels from Maine! and I gotta say out of the 30 BBQ spots we hit up on our 2 week road trip this place gets the cake! the brisket was delicious and moist! great flavor and wasn't dry! don't get us started about the potato salad it's the best in the Midwest! if they ever shipped to the East Coast we'd be ordering gallons of their potatoe salad and lbs of the brisket!! 100/100 recommend this spot! definitely will be back and forever spread the word for them! A MUST TRY DONT SKIP OUT!!

We drove over an hour to check out his roadside dive and we were not disappointed. The meat was very well done, juicy and just the right amount of BBQ souse. It was very nice for the owner to visit with us and also show us the huge smokers in the back. We have gone to many BBQ competitions, all them trophy guys have nothing on this place. Well worth the drive, we would return if in the area again.

The next time you're having a family or social gathering, do yourself and your guests a favor and order a butt from KY Hillbilly. I don't care if you have to drive an hour, it's worth every mile. The meat is always succulent and high quality, never fatty or gristly. You get several pounds of meat for $40, plenty to feed a crowd. You'll also want to grab a couple bottles of sauce - one to serve and one to keep in your pantry. Order by phone a couple or three days before your event, and they will have your order ready when you need it. They'll "bust your butt" for free or you can shred it yourself when you're ready to serve. Delicious, affordable, and Ballard County's best kept secret. Bring cash or a check though, because they don't take cards.
