We very much enjoyed our visit here, we stopped in on a Tuesday late afternoon for a drink and a snack. It’s right next to the bike path and had a very friendly vibe. It had a great community feel with both indoor and outdoor seating. Our young waitress was friendly. They pipe music outside at an appropriate volume so it’s a nice place to be able to chat. We would make this a regular stop if we lived in the area!Vegetarian options: We saw vegetarian options on the menu.Parking: Sweet busy little town so the streets tend to be full.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly with outdoor games for kids.

We were looking for a place to eat before attending the monthly Abita Opry, and friends suggested the Abita Brew Pub. It was close so we gave it a try. There was indoor and patio seating available. We were glad we got there early because it got crowded fast. Our waiter was very efficient and patient with our review of the extensive menu. I had the fried shrimp which came decorating a mound of mash potatoes with roasted veggies in the side. My husband had a blackened shrimp and avocado salad. Both were large portions, but delicious. We will go back!!!

Great food, beer, and atmosphere. Been here many times and it's never let me down. The Crawfish Mac is fantastic! The only con is the parking is a little tight in the area.

we stopped to charge at one of the two free chargers nearby and to watch a bit of a playoff game. we had perfect wings, a thick, juicy burger and a very tasty bread bowl to accompany several Abita brews. Need to give Katelyn extra recognition for outstanding service.

The shrimp and crab bread bowl was outstanding! It’s hard to go there and not get a hamburger because they are so good, but everything else we order is really good, Artichoke dip, pecan crusted trout, southwest salad. Top it off with a Barney!

Is it just the times that people have lost all concept of appropriate conversation? We just moved in up the street from Abita brew pub. We were extremely excited about living a short walk from this restaurant as we visited it a few times while house hunting. We brought my in-laws and had an excellent time. From all my experiences with this establishment I can say the food really depends on what you order. The sandwiches are small but very tasty. The entrees are delicious. Everything fried is on point. The service though, dear lord, I have not gone here not once and had a fantastic server but today took the all time cake! Worst server at any restaurant I've EVER been to and we are ALL restaurant people on both sides of the family. My uncle even owns a cafe off the Nile just outside of Cairo... yes, Cairo Egypt. My husband ordered a Jameson neat and they brought it on ice and when he tried to say something, the lady who brought it just side eyed him very sternly.I think the servers here have been awkward at best and I mean I get it, I was a very high end chef for many years who served upwards of 600 covers a night all with a wedding special menu going on and a jerk on Fry station whining about why he should be on grill. Like I get busy restaurant vibes, I get we're in the time of say what you want, be yourself blah blah blah but really, if you stand there and start judging me about bringing my toddler to lunch with me, you're out of line. If that same server continues to smirk at me and jeer me about being "overwhelmed" because my son is throwing a fit about not wanting to sit still, you're just a jerk. If that same server continues to let me know why she doesn't take her toddler out with her ever, ? like what the hell? OK, now you're just pressing my buttons for no reason. Then you have the audacity to bring me the bill and hover over me, telling me how I'm lucky I have a man cause yours "might as well not be there." Completely cringe worthy experience and I was already wrestling a toddler who just wanted to go play and not sit at a table so we had to pack up quickly and pay because we were so embarrassed by the entire series of events and this server with her completely inappropriate comments and attitude was a huge part of the problem. This server was wretched. We have literally taken my son out once a week since he was about 6 months old and a good server can make a huge difference. If my husband and I are uncomfortable as we were today, little man usually gets uncomfortable, if we feel welcome and comfortable, like we did at our old usual, then little man is fine. We were high level uncomfortable from the moment this server came over and began telling us how "mean" and misbehaved her own child is. This is regrettable as we really wanted this to be our place. We tipped 20%, I wish I hadn't but then again, as we bring our toddler everywhere with us we usually tip much more for better service. I see the owner responds on here often. Owner, if you have questions feel free to give me your contact info otherwise this is basically just a sticky note to myself maybe an affirmation to others if they were treated similarly.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu had a great selection. The food I ordered for my son came out fast and cooked properly.
