The breakfast is awesome. We eat here every week. however, Im disappointed with your snowball ice. it's more like sno cone ice. the blades need to be changed or sharpened.

The food is good and most of the service is top notch. The key word being "most". Our crew normally has lunch there 1-3 times a week. We also request separate tickets and we all tip, because we know what it's like to hustle. The last time we were there, Mike the waiter rushed over to bring us menus and take our drink order. After bringing us drinks, he spent a good 20+ minutes of walking past our table. Our drinks ran dry and he hadn't taken our order. We asked one of the waitresses to take over our table. She said that she couldn't do that, but she did take our orders and put them through, she also filled our drinks. She then delivered our food to us when it was ready. We were still watching Mike running from table to table, but never to ours. I told her that she deserved the tip, she said that she can't do that. This is not the first time that Mike has run up to claim table and then given us mediocre to poor service. We did notice that he's well attentive to little old ladies and such. I'm not sure what the issue is and I'm not trying to figure that out. Our crew has come to an agreement that we're not paying for that kind of service. We will request someone else when he runs to claim our table. If we can't have a different server. Starting that moment we will just take our business to the Brew Pub, MamaD's or have lunch at one of the many places in Covington.

We stopped for breakfast at midday. The food was mediocre at best. Coffee was lukewarm, eggs were tiny. Had to ask for coffee refill, then had to ask for creamer (coffee mate, no half & half). Prices are high & quality of food was awful! Maybe lunch is better, but don't get the breakfast!

Such a wonderful pit stop on our way to Florida from Texas. The fried green tomatoes are delicious and the beignets! Pet friendly - let my baby in on the enclosed patio so we could sit by the heaters. Cute spot in a cute little town.

The fried shrimp platter is terrible. They took frozen shrimp from Sam’s and fried them and some kind of batter that was not even cooked properly and serve them with a small bowl of coleslaw in South Louisiana you don’t serve fried shrimp frozen out of a bag And just thrown on a plate you’re supposed to serve big Shrimp butterfly fried crispy and then somebody can eat them. Everything else was great but they stupid fried shrimp don’t order that and be careful anything else that you order fried seems like they’re in a hurry.

I've tried to give Abita Cafe a chance but it seemed like there's always a problem. When I go there today it was my daughter and myself. We sat there for about 15 minutes, awkwardly sitting there waiting for someone to acknowledge us. The waitresses were running around attending to other tables and completely bypass us to serve a larger party that came after us. When I finally said something, I got some BS from the waitress saying that they were talking to their manager, completely ignoring how I felt and kept cutting me off. The whole point of it was they were still able to attend to the other tables when they came there after us. I was not happy with the service so we left. I just can't go there anymore.

Went on Veterans Day. The owners very generously offered any entree on the menu. We both had catfish with etouffee over it. It was excellent. It came with a choice of side and a wonderful biscuit. The service was great. It was one of the best Veterans Day meals we have ever had.

Living in talisheek decided to visit for my first time with friends. Atmosphere was warming with families. Walked inside managed to see every worker there beside the kitchen and asked if it was okay to be seated outside. Found a table outside quickly. Sat for 10 min waiting to be served.
Drink menu looks awesome from what I was reading. Ended up walking out after the same server made eye contact with friends husband twice without service.
Might be back. Might not. Been a server myself for 15 years. Don't know what it is with this younger generation but they need to get it together quick.

Today I ordered hamburger poboy with cheese, a sausage po-boy dress in a chocolate cake with ice cream food was delicious but the hamburger had no cheese on it the sausage po-boy had the cheese on it did not order that the chocolate cake with ice cream came with no ice cream. I do like the food here the service is good but when ordering the food they always get it mixed up there's been plenty of times I've called to add cheese on my hamburger and never get it it's a little frustrating
