“In my opinion the best glazed donut in Baton Rouge. Texture is perfect, right amount of chewiness, airy but not to dense. Good tasting glaze and taste remains the same whether served hot or after they've sat a while. The other things I've tried were very good as well. Not in the best part of town, but worth the trip. Staff is super friendly and always professional. Give them a try you won't be disappointed.“

“Oh, let me tell y’all about Carville Deli in Plaquemine, LA—because when I say it’s giving, I mean it’s GIVING!!! Called them up after 10 am, and they were like, “Lunch is served, baby!” And you know I had to pull up.
Ordered the catfish plate, which, by the way, is basically a love letter to my taste buds. Mac and cheese comes standard—like, “don’t worry, we got you” vibes—and you get to pick two more sides. I went with potato salad and green beans because balance, okay? And whew, listen, EVERYTHING was seasoned like somebody’s Auntie put their whole elbow in it!
The catfish? Crispy, flavorful, a whole mood. The mac and cheese? Silky, cheesy, and just disrespectfully good. Potato salad and green beans? A supporting cast that understood the assignment. All this for about $12?! Baby, that’s recession-proof fine dining.
And let’s talk customer service—10/10. They had me feeling like family, and you know that’s rare these days. If you’re in Plaquemine and not at Carville Deli, what are you even doing with your life?! 🤣😭😂“

“This location of IHOP is wonderful! The food is hot (butter actually melts - LOL!), served quickly and correctly. Everyone - the hostess, server, and manager - was attentive and friendly. The two times we've been to this location were about 7:30 am on a weekday. I can't review other times, but the staff's attitude suggests it would be the same.“

Wish their hours were a bit longer (such as dinner hours) because I really enjoy the food but I'm happy to stop in for lunch every once in awhile.“
