Apollo Greek and Lebanese Cafe in Alexandria is a real gem. The owner was amazing and made us feel right at home. He even sat and ate with us, which really showed how much he cares about his customers. I ordered a pasta dish that had a mix of meats — gyro, shrimp, and crawfish — and it was excellent. The flavor of the cheese alone was incredible and brought everything together perfectly. The hummus was smooth, fresh, and full of flavor.

We were surprised that it was a little “hole in the wall” affair, but tried it anyway. I’ve been around in Europe and various places on both banks of the Mediterranean in my life, and honestly, if you were in another country and wanted to eat with “the locals” you’d wind up in a “hole in the wall place” like this. I really enjoy this place, the workers, and the food. Greek/lebanese are my favorite types of food. I’ve tried many places, but I enjoy what they offer. The fried cheese with pita and anything gyro or with Grecian is great! Hope y’all keep doing well in business.
