Excellent service, friendly owners / employees, and great food! Used them as a catering service and they definitely went above and beyond. I highly recommend!

I ordered a cheeseburger with cheese fries and a spaghetti and meatballs dinner. The cheeseburger patty was a frozen premade patty. Shame on this owner for charging 15$. Disgusting. The spaghetti and meatballs were bland and tasteless. Nothing fresh about this place and it is what I presume prison food to taste like. Prison food is probably better.

I was seated by a woman in her 90s. Which was fine. Until her son was incredibly rude, insinuating I should have seated myself and gotten my own high chair for my daughter. His demeanor and attitude was so rude I just left immediately. Do NOT go here. The seating area was also musty, 10 degrees too warm, and SILENT. Worst 2 minutes I’ve ever spent in a restaurant.
Whoever the waitress is that was working 5/23 is rude and I will not be coming back
A visit to critics choice was way overdue so we made a stop in on Thursday night. My friend got an Italian grinder and I got a meatball sub. I gotta tell you probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time and I’m a big eater, but I couldn’t finish it. I brought it home and took it to work this morning And enjoyed it again for lunch. If you haven’t been there in a while, you need to check it out.
First time to eat here. Have to say, it was a very nice small mom n pop restaurant. The waiter treats you like family (super nice) and the food...hands down best philly cheese steak sandwich I've had in 30 years. I will definitely be coming back
Owners were on site and very friendly. Explained everything on the menu and was extremely proud of their food, which was great.
The service was horrible. I witnessed one of the servers be blatantly racist to a group of African American students that tried to get food. She was upset because a student did not want to pay for a pizza she touched with her bare hands. She was rude and unsanitary. She referred to the students as “You people “. Even though the situation did not happen to me personally it still reflected horribly on the business. I did not get to order my food. I will never go to that place again.

Genuinely some of the best food I've had in a while, the atmosphere is amazing and the people that work there are very sweet, it's a bit more expensive than what I normally get (on a budget atm) but the quality of the food definitely makes it worth every penny and I'm glad I indulged into going there, I definitely will be going back there again! (The sloppy Joe is AMAZING as well as the cheese fries, and their soda's are, oddly enough, more refreshing than what you'd get at most other restaurants)

This is a great neighborhood gem in downtown Alexandria. Service was excellent, menu offers a variety. We had the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and Italian Grinder. Philly Steak was thinly sliced with peppers, onions, mushrooms, provolone and mayo. Great flavor and oh so tender. The roll was deliciously toasted. The Grinder was the standout today. A generous selection of Italian meats, cheeses, lettuce, tomato and sweet banana peppers dressed with a flavorful, homemade vinaigrette on a delicious roll and finished in the oven. It was excellent! This family owned business is inviting and feels like home with very good food. We will be back!

Place was good. I liked that they toasted my hot hogie just enough to melt the cheese and make the crispy which I liked. Waiter told us that they used peanut oil to cook with and the difference’s between the hot and cold items which was nice to know.
