“Sometimes you don't know what you need until you have it. We stopped by on a desperate whim after driving all night from the Smoky Mountains back home to Texas. After a night of rain and a few hours pulled over to sleep we trudged onward; home just 5 hours away. A quick glance and a jerk of the wrist brought us to this hopeful respite. The aromatic black coffees warmed our tired souls as the kolaches and a croissant sandwich filled our grumbling bellies. We opted to eat inside for a much needed break. We all loved our breakfast. I made sure to let the "angels" behind the counter know that the Down Home kolache he suggested was the best I'd ever had. Not because I was tired & hungry but truly because the sausage was delicious and it was more sausage than bread which is rarely the case! Back in the car and down the road I said to the fam, "Sometimes you just don't know what you need until you have it." “Go see Ms Kay and the girls for a wonderful dining experience! The drinks are amazing, the food is to die for! Friday and Saturday nights are steak nights and they are delicious! For desert you can’t go wrong with Ms Kay’s banana pudding!
