A Cup of Joy Eatery & Play Yard

Was expecting a lot from this place as it was highly recommended and it’s quite spacious and inviting and the lady who made my drink was nice but the place was full of sick kids! Coughing and runny noses all around which really ruined the experience. Wish they wouldn’t let sick kids into a place like this. Was hoping to finally sit down while letting my child play and enjoy but neither was the case unfortunately. Wouldn’t be in a rush to go back and it’s really geared towards kids from 0-18 months I would say.

This is a hidden gem in Baton Rouge! I love to bring my daughter here to play while I get some work done. The lattes and buddy’s waffle are my favorite and it’s always nice to meet other parents in the area. Follow them on Facebook to stay up to date with their hours and events.

We love this place! It’s perfect to bring our 1yr old to. Always clean, has great snacks for the little one, and coffee for mom. The instagram always has the updates times and latest details on events. We were lucky to get a coffee mug with our daughter’s footprint for a Father’s Day gift. It’s so much fun! It’s hard to find places to bring less than 3year olds. This one is perfect!

So google said this establishment closed at 2pm. We got there at 1:15 and walked up to the door being locked. The lady, I believe the owner, came to the door said they close at 1pm and I showed her where google says they are open until 2pm. She said oh come back tomorrow and they can play for free. I replied “We don’t live in town”. Then closed the door on me and my three small children and locked the door. My kids were hot and thirsty at this time. Needless to say.l, I will be sharing this with experience with all of my coworkers and friends that have small children.

This place is actually pretty amazing! I am in love with the chill atmosphere and the quiet vibe that it gives. My kids played for hours and it was exactly clean. Make sure to bring socks. They have a good variety of toys.including a soft area for smaller children. There is also the most adorable book Nook area. They have tons of snacks available for purchase everything is super kid friendly. There’s even a cute flower, backdrop photo op. and a small children’s boutique behind the eating area that has tons of adorable clothes for the littles.

Kid-friendliness: This is a play cafe for kids it was made so kids could Play and be entertained while mom is relax work or enjoy a cup of coffee. They have toys snacks and is only 3$ a child

Friendly staff, good coffee, lots of games for the kids

This is our favorite place to go to! The staff is so friendly and the entire setup is great! We love that the play area is completely padded and safe for our 2 year old son who likes to climb all over the place.

Can't say enough good things about this place! We came here today for my nieces 1st birthday party. Michelle & Michael were BEYOND accommodating. They helped us set up as we were running behind on time, let us borrow a million things without hesitation, and kept the party flowing! Besides the AC not being able to keep up with the Louisiana August heat, the environment was perfect for children and adults. I also did not expect to have such a GREAT cup of coffee from a children's play yard! As we were leaving the party, we were having some car trouble in the parking lot. Before they closed up, they came out to offer us cold waters & assistance! I could go on and on about Michelle & Michael's hospitality, but I recommend visiting for yourself!
