We happen to come across Abu Omar Halal today while in Baton Rouge, Louisiana & they definitely caught our eye…. We just had to stop and try it! 🥳 Let’s just say it was soooo worth it, They have the best version of chicken shawarma I’ve ever had. I ate every last bite before leaving the parking lot. ❤️ We got the Chicken Shawarma Arabi along with a side of spicy garlic sauce! The spicy garlic sauce is a MUST TRY!
The food very delicious Thank you my brother

Joe is the best that do have great customer service and the shawarma he made is perfect ❤️
food is made very cheap
Some of the best food I've ever had. They DO NOT MISS. Even the fries are a 10/10. I get the chicken arabi everytime. They forgot my Hummus once and I wasn't even mad bc its just that good. We stop by as often as we can! A CLEAN food truck - probably the cleanest I've ever seen. Love it

Excellent beef shawarma sandwich, more food than I could eat. They also had soda from the ME I hadn’t had since my 2010 deployment. The guys working were very friendly and generous with the food and sauces. Try them.

It was ok. My husband didn't realize it was a food truck. They were out of some of the things we wanted, but we worked with what they had. My kids did like the food because it was something different than we normally eat.

Worst service I have ever received, as a white person and a woman I was ignored, overcharged, and made to wait for 45 minutes while multiple Arab speaking men arrived after me, ordered at the window, and got their food. This is a limited menu so I had the beef shawarma sandwich, something the man made several times for men who arrived after me.
After 30 minutes I asked what exactly we were waiting on, and he told me it would be ready soon. The Arab speaking man who was receiving his food (beef shawarma salad, ordered less than five minutes earlier) asked the worker in Arabic about me. I only understand a little Arabic and he was speaking too fast for me to understand, but I caught it quite clearly when the worker told him I could wait, that I wasn't of any importance or relevance.
A few non-Arabic men arrived to order while I waited, and their orders were prioritized above mine but below those of the Arabic speaking men. I even saw the guy moving the tickers around on the line, moving those who were male and shared his language to the front of the queue.

Don’t listen to the bad reviews. I’ve ordered this via DoorDash probably 10 times in the last two months and it is always fantastic. The garlic sauce is top notch and the chicken Arabi is amazing. Great job guys.
