They have a really nice ambience. Their food is also good. We tried:Tacos, chimichangas, burritos, queasdilla and everything was really good. No complaints. The owner/manager is really kind and amazing. He offered to give us a spicy chilli sauce and it was the best thing ever.

Reasonably priced, and one of the better quality Mexican restaurants in Baton Rouge. Better than Superior Grill and Tio Javi's which are both overpriced and overhyped.

Good Mexican food in downtown Baton Rouge. I’ve ordered the fajitas here on multiple occasions and have always enjoyed them. Great location being right across the street from a hotel.

Overpriced... one star because I wouldn’t really want to go here again. Would be a 2 or maybe 3 star if the prices were more reasonable, atmosphere and service was alright. A group of about 8 ended here by chance since the place we were going to was booked for a private event. Everyone just felt okay about their food :|

Don't bother going to this restaurant I walked in for a queso and chips and was told it was $15 and they ran my card for an extra amount.. I guess the girl working the front counter was desperate for tips and thought she could pull one over real quickly on a gringo!

I went a lil after 8pm. I went with my 5 children and sister. My kids are very small so they shared the meals and my sister and I ordered our own meal and had 2 drinks. So I asked for my ticket. Once I received it my total was over $133 including $20.00 gratuity fee. They do not tell you that over six people you will be charged that gratuity on the mini not once not mentioned I ordered 4 meals. I had my 9 month baby with me and my waiter kept hitting her vape pen. I will never eat here again.

The hours say they are open until 10pm on Fridays. I got there at 8:45, and they were closed.

Ok here we go…First I want to say I come from service industry so to have me feeling a type of way says a lot.We get there for lunch and there’s maybe one or two other tables there. We were sat in the bar area because when asked where would we like to sit, our response was, “Wherever you would like to seat us. We’re easy.” We were sat in the bar. Cool! Closer to the bar! We had been sitting at the table for at least 10-15 min and still no menus. I’ve never been here and wanted to take my time reading the menu…I had to get up and grab our own menus from the side of the bar.My husband ordered a raspberry margarita and I ordered a jalapeño margarita. It took an unusually long time to get them to the table considering it’s just 2 margaritas…there was nothing else going on because we saw and heard everything going on in the bar area. My husband got a regular margarita, not raspberry. My jalapeño margarita was actually really good.My husband ordered seared tuna tacos. I ordered lunch portion steak fajitas. I gave 3 stars because the food had pretty good flavor. Husband’s Tacos had 2 pieces of tuna per taco and the first bite had a huge piece of tough membrane that he couldn’t bite through…or want to. He sat for a good while with an empty glass waiting for anyone to offer a refill or a second margarita. Keep the glasses full!! Upsell!! That’s the first commandment of service industry! It took an unusually long time to get food with minimal tables sat. We sat at 1:03pm and got our food at 1:58pm…for lunch tacos and lunch fajitas…which even the lunch portion I thought was a bit skimpy for the fajitas but I don’t eat a lot anyway so whatever.Experience-wise, there was what I assume to be an employee sitting at the bar. Everyone was being obnoxiously loud and clearly taking up more valuable time than selling us more margaritas or refilling our salsa. I want to emphasize that we were the only table in the bar area and there were no bar customers. I am speculating about this person being an employee but I can usually call it considering I’ve spent decades in service industry. Takes one to know one. She was also on the phone saying, “Hey when are you getting here? I go on at 4.”Then, a guy walks into the bar. This is not a setup for a joke. He sits at the bar. He orders a frozen margarita to go. This was approximately 1:50pm. He is told by the bartender, and our server, “The machine wasn’t on. Someone must have turned it off.” Now you opened at what time? You are a Mexican restaurant. You serve margaritas. Someone couldn’t have made sure the machine was operating properly?? This other guy sitting at the bar, also an employee, says “I turned it off so I can hear the phone.” Guy is told it will take 5 minutes…which anyone from service industry knows those machines take a lot longer than 5 minutes to freeze the mix. Guy says he will go somewhere else if it’ll take 5 minutes. Bartender proceeded to say after the guy walked out that “It’s probably for the best because it would have taken longer than 5 minutes.”C’mon man. You’ve got a table within ear shot of everything happening in the bar area. You never know who your audience is. Next time, focus on concentrated service because we would have tipped extra because it’s a holiday. You’re lucky to have gotten 20%. Honestly, after all this mess, we won’t be back. There was nothing extraordinary to have us want to come back. We are so easy to wait on. It takes a whole whole lot for me to post a review…I hope y’all can get some people who give a tiny care about their job since they have to be there anyway.

This place is a hidden gem. I come here for lunch often and every experience is top notch. The toughest part of my rating is figuring out which is better, the food or the service. Everything I have gotten is phenomenal, fresh, and served quickly. The service is warm and the wait staff works like a team to give you the best dining experience you can have. I do not think I have been served better anywhere else. Their Pollo Asado is probably my favorite dish, I do hope that they bring it to their dinner menu so I can get it then. But I have to mention their Mexican rice. I do not believe I have ever had better Mexican rice from anywhere else. This place is top notch.
