Great atmosphere and quick service. Definitely the kind of place to bring your laptop or a book, have a drink, and sit outside comfortably while working. Seating isn’t the most comfortable because it’s wood picnic tables and metal chairs, so I’d bring something to cushion your seat if planning to be there a while. The food and drinks are also great!

love this place!!! i come here all the time for lunch. my favorite is the crispy fish taco, don’t knock it till you try it!! also, don’t forget to get your tacos “deluxe”! it’s only $1 extra and it give you grilled cheese, beans, and guacamole all on the taco. (i also love the little pomegranate seeds, it’s a fun little flare)

the lunch box combo for $10 is an insane deal too, you get two (very large) tacos of your choice, with a side of beans and rice.

the atmosphere is top notch too, very relaxing outdoor style patio with fans and heaters accommodating for all kinds of weather.

Some of the most flavorful tacos in Baton Rouge by far. A lot of recommendations to try the tacos and they were better than majority in the city. I was enthralled by the atmosphere; my kind of vibe. Worth the money? Yes. Worth the drive? Depends.

Holy Moly, are we glad we got off 1-10 for this!!!! We ordered A little bit of everything and we were so glad we did! The broccoli taco with the blue corn tortilla was absolutely perfect. And I’m not a vegan, but I would eat that over and over again. The taco is just as awesome as the chicken bowl, it was delicious. I think the portions are excellent, and the guac as well as the corn was super yummy. Even the chips were thin and felt like they were refreshingly made. If we are ever back in Baton Rouge, we’ve got this place highlighted to visit again.

Barracuda probably serves the best michelada I have ever had east of California. It was spicy and well balanced. Maybe even a little Cajun? but absolutely delicious.

Paired that with the veggie bowl and it was one of my favorite meals while traveling.

Perhaps the young lady at the window who took my order for my happy hour nachos to go add steak was hearing impaired. She added chicken. I was speaking rather clearly while placing my order so I’m uncertain what distracted her as there wasn’t anyone ahead of or behind me at the window.

Perhaps since I wear bifocals, I trusted the person taking my order had a listening ear.
I ordered:
1 Nachos add steak.
2 chicken tacos; &
1 hibiscus limeade (which I requested be prepared properly b/c the guy hadn’t done so initially).

I spent $19.15 (not including the tax) & added a $2.87 tip. I frequent Barracuda Taco as a resident of the MidCity/Capital Heights area. I’m usually pleased, but on the few occasions when there’s a lot to be desired, YES… I send an email to management. My receipt has no email address, and I only reviewed the drink issue prior to my checking my order before driving off, and after notifying the 3 employees of their errors to my order. Yes, I walked back up to the window to show them the chicken on the nachos… But, NO, I did not want them to put steak in any container to resolve it. At that point, if it had to be ALL OF THAT… I’m over it. Barracuda Taco Government St/MidCity-BR customers deserve interactions with competent employees in what we consider a more upscale fast food business.
I am only one person, but perhaps I’ll refrain from spending my money there for a while. Although I told the 3rd person I didn’t want to speak with a manager when I returned from my car to show them my nachos had chicken instead of beef… Certainly, management is welcome to contact me to make this right. A start would be simply refunding my tip… I don’t feel the 3 employees who looked me in my face this evening deserve to even split the $2.87 I willingly put-up on the front-end.

Overall good tacos for the area. Tacos came out fast which means meat is premade which means it sits there and to be completely honest they were a bit dry. Flour Tortillas are not made from scratch. But again good tacos for the area.

Must go spot for a casual bite in BTR! Very friendly service at the register and expansive seating. We got the pork taco, fried fish taco, chicken quesadilla, and chips and quacamole. Tacos were layered with all kinds of flavorful of toppings. The pork had a very rich pork flavor like BBQ. The chips and quac were super fresh; the pepitas and pomegranate seed in the quac were a premium touch. There is very limited parking and line can be long, but food still came out quick!
