Don’t let the small size fool you, you will not find a more genuine Cajun restaurant here, from the hospitality all the way down to the recipes Bellue’s has you covered. Fantastic red beans and homemade sausage, filling shrimp poboy and with the kindness of the owner we got to sample all different kinds of dishes. If you miss that hometown atmosphere and southern hospitality this is a must stop.
This was the second time I have to Bellue’s and it did not disappoint. The food is simply amazing. It’s a no frills place, simple, clean with a busy atmosphere. The food is first class. I had the Creole Shrimp over rice - just fantastic. The pork link was delicious as was the boudin- although I should have gone for fried - next time!
You can feel this place is as much a life’s work as it is a place to get good food. Over 40 years Bellue’s has mastered the craft from making his own machinery to perfecting the recipes weighing ingredients down to the gram. A well thought out prepping & cooking process ensures each meal will taste as good as the last.
