Bergeron's City Market

I had been hearing about this place a lot from my best friend. She raves about the chicken piccata. It did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The piccata was wonderful, but I have to say that the carrot cake was the best I'd ever had. I will be going back if for nothing more than the carrot cake.

Comfortable place to have a buffet meal with nice table variations. Food to go/ dine in or check the coolers during the day for precooked entrees, sides. desserts to perk up supper! Great choices all the time!

Begerons City Market is the absolute best!

Bergeron's is great. The menu changes daily/weekly. One of the few places to get a southern meal that tastes great. They also have entrees and desserts in the refrigerated section of the building. I definitely recommend trying them for either lunch or dinner.

Wow! Chicken Piccata! Wow! Only $13 for freshly made Chicken Piccata with not one, but TWO sides (pasta & peas for me!)? No way! I can tell this food is fresh & NEVER frozen. If Bergeron’s was publicly traded, I would invest because this place ain’t going anywhere with meals like this every day! Best deal in town I tell ya! See ya tomorrow…and the next day…and the next!

As other restaurants seem to be struggling, this place is always packed. Order your meal cafeteria style, always from 3-4 daily specials, with something for everyone, and all are delicious. And reasonable prices in these days and times.

I had a girls lunch there on Thurs. April 18th, 2024. We arrived at around 12:45 pm. This was the first time enjoying lunch there. We were very impressed! There was plenty of seating,the earlier lunch crowd had thinned out! Now, after tasting their offerings, I know why it can be crowded sometimes! I tried the Pecan crusted salmon, pasta w/parm, and the fresh squash. It came w/a piece of really good french bread. You do have a choice of several sides. Everything was delicious! One of us tried the stuffed bell peppers, which 2 were put on her plate(a whole pepper), which she raved over! You also have a choice of teas to drink. The price was just under $20 dollars! A bargain for a great lunch and a drink! They were very generous with their portions and were quick to serve you with a smile! In fact, every employee was very cordial! After lunch, we did purchase a dessert to go, the chocolate strawberry shortcake & a buttermilk pie! The shortcake was a delightful twist, the buttermilk pie tasted so very close to my great grandmothers recipe! I also took home a pint of the Shrimp and Crabmeat Pasta Sauce to try! All I can say is "you got to try this!" Absolutely the best sauce I have had! I wish I could keep it a secret to serve to company, and pretend that I made it! So, run don't walk to Bergerons City Market! You will not be disappointed! They have "to go" plates if you are in a hurry! The menu changes daily, the market is full of wonderful treats, both frozen and fresh.Even great wine selections! Lunch is from 11am - 2pm.Can't wait to try the dinner menu!
