This business is full of such amazing people! I’ve ordered from here 3 times, once for my baby shower, once for a friends birthday cake, and just this week for my boyfriends mothers birthday cake. Each time I was blown away by the cakes! Truly surpassed my expectations and the cakes were DELICIOUS. This past time, I was sent the invoice and the pickup time and TOTALLY FORGOT😵‍💫 they made the cake, called me to pick up and boy was I relieved!!! I would have been out of a cake for my boyfriends moms birthday party. And it would have been all my fault. So thankful for such a wonderful business with such talent who cares SO MUCH! Will return for every cake for the rest of ever.

Nice small clean place in a residential area of Port Allen. My son told me to give it a try since I was going to be in the area. You can't find a friendlier place. We got there about 15 minutes before 2pm closing. No one rushed us and we enjoyed that. The bread they make for the poboys is delicious. The parm sweet potato side was large and tasty. We were too stuffed to even think about a house made dessert...next time. I will definitely return.

The Poboy House makes a scrumptious Queen Carrot Cake...I've ordered 2! The B.L.A.T. and Italian Grilled Cheese with Bing Bang Boom Waffle Fries and Parmesan Sweet Potato Fries were pretty awesome, also! We loved the outdoor dining & quick, super friendly service. I think I have found my favorite place to lunch on the westside! ??

Amazing food-amazing cakes!!! I have never been disappointed!!! The food is always delicious, somewhere to get a quick meal but yet tastes top of the line ! And as for the cakes ... they will always be delicious and fresh and EXACTLY the way you want it !!! I have been ordering cakes from them since they opened and will continue to order from them for every single occasion!!!! Thanks for always coming through for me even when i order my cakes only a week in advance!!!

I hosted a baby shower this weekend catered by The Poboy House. The food was wonderful, all plated and packaged nicely, and it looked beautiful. My favorite was the HUGE charcuterie board and the hummus. The Shrimp pasta was also delicious and I would order it again. The cake was a six layer chantilly cake and the best I’ve ever had. It was so fresh and loaded with fruit. Everyone raved about it. Thanks for the great experience!

I went there after the reopening ordered their speciality sandwich of the day which was fried chicken sandwich. Chicken was tough, the sandwich was wet like the mayo was watered down wet. Chicken kept sliding of the bun. If I had to compare it to Popeyes fried chicken sandwich, Popeyes wins hands down. Price of the poorboy house sandwich $10, Popeyes $3.99.

So I'll start off by saying this place has wonderful food. My husband and I came to eat here often. However, we were highly disappointed with the customer service regarding a custom cake we ordered. The quality of the decorations were beautiful, but it was NOT what was requested. When we brought it back to be fixed, it was rushed and still not right. This was for a gender reveal party the next day.
