Went to celebrate a friend's birthday. They were able to accommodate our group. The food was delicious. We had a long wait between ordering and getting our food, also had to ask to have our drinks refilled.

We love the patio. Service was a bit slow even though it was wasn’t busy. Food came out cold. Perhaps if it had been the least bit warm it would have hit different. We weren’t impressed.

Can’t rave enough about Blue Corn! We love it and keeping coming back. Food is always delicious and service has always been great. When we first came in we were really happy we found a restaurant with authentic Mexican food in an elevated atmosphere. The Blue Corn soup is our favorite. Went for the first time on cinco de mayo. We went early so it wasn’t that busy yet. The Hostest immediately sat us at our table. The server took our drink orders then took 30 minutes to even come get our food order. Finally got our food and our queso never came out. Never got refills. Never even got checked on. Had to hunt her down to get our bills and that took another 20-30 minutes. Went to immediately hand her our cards but ofcourse she walked away and took another 15 minutes to come back. Asked for the manager, she never came because she was too busy ringing up the tables bill next to us. The manager also just looked like she had no idea how to even work the computer system . Worst service I have ever experienced and don’t even get me started on the overpriced food.

Came in for Cinco De Mayo to hang out with friends. The whole experience came off as just greedy from management. There may have been 3 servers for the whole full restaurant. Leading to service being awful. Couldn’t get refills, orders, or anything else you would want. On top of this there was a 20% gratuity. That wouldn’t bother me if the service was anywhere near standard. Being forced to wait an extreme amount of time for service and being forced to tip is nothing short of greedy. Food was still good luckily.

The suissa enchiladas are my favorite. Make sure you ask for the grilled chicken. The Blue Corn soup (think taco soup) is so worth a visit.

I requested a bag of chips and salsa to be part of my to go order. The manager explained they were available for a $2.50 charge, after which time I had already paid for my order. I asked if I dined-in if there was a fee, she indicated there was no charge in that case! Not concerned about a mere $2.50, but the principle of this is ridiculous, in my opinion. I left with no chips, lol and had prior tipped 20%.
There are better Mexican food options in Baton Rouge, and chips are always a bonus. Blue Corn has lost my business.
