This was my 1st time visiting Baton Rouge, from San Antonio, TX, and the locals recommended this place. The service was very friendly. The fried chicken is the closest to home made and was very delicious. I loved the red beans and rice, too. I definitely recommend this place if you're ever in Baton Rouge.

small portions, burn tenders. asked why 2 or 3 orders went out before mine when there was only 1 person ahead of me in line. Was told bs story about takes only 5 minutes then 17 minutes later was given small and blackened tenders as a message not to complain. probably wont go back again

I had 3 wings & rice combo, potato logs and a egg roll. I wouldn't say it's the BEST chicken in BR, but it's OK. The rice was eh and egg roll was old and I have had better potato logs from the hood. Don't think I will go back.

Hands down the best fried chicken in Louisiana! Every time we visit LA, this is our go-to spot. I’ve heard there are other branches, but this one takes the crown. Wish they had a dining area. BLU: Crispy, juicy, and always worth the trip — highly recommend!

I usually go to buy their potatoe logs. They are great! They are addictive. I love them so much I buy 12 or 15, often…very often. Also, the prices are great.

Probably the best fried chicken wings in Baton Rouge and by far THE BEST Blue Store wings in the city. I was disappointed today to find out that the fried rice is not cooked to order unless you order a large size and the small that I went ahead and got was bland and watery tasting. I'm not sure if that is because of the frozen vegetables they use, which in my opinion don't belong in fried rice. I'm a strong believer in rice,egg,onion meat only but that is a personal preference. I also don't believe fried rice should sit in a steam table, it should be prepared in a scalding hot wok and served fresh, so maybe that is the reason the flavor is so poor on their product . The meat pies are cooked to order and delicious. The egg rolls are good but not always hot off the grease. The wings however, which are the main reason to go here are always good and almost always fresh off the grease unless you only order a couple of pieces.
