The only drive-thru that I've seen ask for a tip, usually tipping is done after the service is provided. After being told it would be about 5 minutes, and they would bring the food out, was left waiting for about 25 minutes, until I went inside to ask about the delay. Was then told that they had just started the chicken tenders but offered to replace them with chicken wings that my 2 year old would not be able to eat. I guess they got me by asking for a tip first, and providing subpar service afterwards.

Been wanting to try the place since they opened, but it was always busy enough I didn't want to bite the bullet. Went today and 100% recommend. The drive through line moved quickly. The chicken was great, a little too seasoned for one of us but perfect for the others. The red beans are among the best I've tried. I would go back just for the beans.

I'm not one to normally write a review, but today against this place I had too! I went in there at 3:20 pm after picking up my daughter from school. The drive thru had a long line, and there was nobody in the lobby so I decided to go in. There was a lady with her son who made it to the door right before me, so I was after them. When it was my turn to place my order, I asked the girl did they already have any turkey wings ready, because I didn't have time to wait on any to come up! She said oh, yes we got some up and they hot and fresh! I said ok, let me get a turkey wing and the 3 piece box special. The girl called the lady and her son for their order that was ready. They had about 6 more people came in and placed their orders, I just knew I was next for my order to be ready! Then she called these other people about 2 others for their orders who came after me. I'm like excuse me where's my order I been standing here for 10 minutes you told me everything was up, that I didn't have to wait on anything! She said oh, they wanted to make sure your turkey wing was hot and fresh so, she just dropped it!! I told her, I told you I didn't have time to wait on it to be dropped and that you told me they already had some up that was hot and fresh you just should have told me they didn't have any ready and I would've just got the chicken and left! So, I waited another 10 minutes, mind you I don't know if these girls or African or Haitian because they were speaking another language to each other and I didn't understand nothing they were saying! While I coninued to wait there I noticed they were drinking their personal drinks all on the line as they fixed food, not 1 person had any gloves on as they handled the food and the guy from drive thru had an unlit cigarette in his mouth as he walked off the line by the food to walk outside to smoke and then he came back in, no hand washing straight back to the window! Absolutely, disgusting!! Now, I see why when you go to Chinese restaurants they have it blocked so you can't see the back of the kitchen! Because of the nastiness that's in the kitchen as the guests food is being prepared! If, this one is like this I know they all are being ran like this. I will never, ever go here again! I didn't get my food until 3:45 pm, just ridiculous!! And as for the girls who you can't understand nothing they saying y'all should just fix food and let somebody else run the cash register that speak clear freaking American English!!!

When we first ordered from here during its early stages of opening it was really good food the chicken was fresh, beans were amazing, and great customer service. However, our recent visit shows a great decline. We couldn’t order a large beans with no rice they said it had to be a small which made no sense because they still charge it the same. The container the beans came in was not the usual black container, it was a super small white styrofoam cup. The consistency of the beans was basically water and they had some kind of meat in there we didn’t know what it was. The chicken was not fresh and were smaller than usual, the chicken tasted like it had been fried in old dirty grease. The cashier came up chewing with food in her mouth. This place used to have great food, service, and I loved it I’m not sure what changed but this was poor. I would not recommend this one anymore, you may have better chances at Bluebonnet.

New to Baton Rouge and my coworkers kept saying I needed to go. I am now a fiend for this chicken now. Extremely cheap, always fresh, and has a nice kick to it. Try their cornbread as well... you won't be disappointed. The lines are long for a good reason!! I found it easier to go inside than waste gas in the drive thru.

I have never experienced anything like this going to the blue store. My shrimp and fish basket with red beans was terrible. The shrimp were so old that they tasted like rubber. The fish were not cooked all the way, I’ve never experienced before. Hope my experience next time is better.‼️‼️
