I grew up attending weddings and events at Boudreaux's as a child. After returning to Baton Rouge as an adult, I attended a large evening event at Boudreaux's in 2022 that was Harlem Renaissance themed, had an amazing live band, twinkling lights and an enjoyable ambiance. The food did not impress me that night (lukewarm & dry jambalaya, cold green beans, basic bagged green salad that may not have been prepared by the venue) but the atmosphere created by the event...
We had our daughter's wedding reception here. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious but the service was not good. Food service was supposed to start at 7:00pm but did not begin until 7:30pm. There was supposed to be a plate of food in the bride's room for the newlyweds to eat before joining their guests and the parents' were supposed to have food in another room so we could eat before joining our guests. Jeanne was the greatest in helping me get exactly what I needed to ensure the day would go interruption free.
