This place was awesome! We did a late lunch/ early evening snack and got the Fried Chicken Sliders with pimento Cheese, side of House Onion Rings, Cornbread, and Pit beans. The fried chicken sliders were delicious!! They came on Hawaiian roll so the ratio of chicken to bun was a bit off but still tasty. It probably could have used slightly more pimento cheese as well just to have a bit more wetness. And it only came with one pickle which I moved inside and added some of the complimentary pickles that we were given before and it rounded out the sandwich nicely! The pit beans we asked to make vegetarian without bacon In it and it was a true winner of this meal - so much flavor and smokiness but didn't taste meaty. Lastly, the cornbread was delicious, maybe could have used a touch more seasoning but the order came with 3 which was sufficient for us. All in all we wanted our fix of barbecue (and we only Eat chicken) and this place definitely did the trick. The ambiance was great and quiet while we were there since it was an odd hour. The place is humongous and has outdoor seating as well and lots of parking space. And server was awesome - he was an LSU student and any time we had a question about the menu and didn't know, he'd go back to the kitchen and ask for us which was great. Would definitely come back here and also Consider trying those loaded nachos starter as well!

A little over a year and a half we went to this restaurant for the first time. We have now been back several more times. They're fresh potato chips are very good. Their bread and butterpickles are phenomenal and they are FREE with your meal. Each time we have gone, our service has been very good. The place has a very, very nice atmosphere. The one bad thing I don't like about the men's bathroom is I believe the men's urinal is a little too high. Now, for the most important thing. Everyone has to go here for the desserts. Especially the Carrot cake is to die for. One piece of carrot cake is 6 pounds. It will fill up a small serving tray. That is how big it is, it is crazy!! It so good, last year when my mom turn 87. I order only a two layer carrot cake and brought it up to her for a surprise birthday party for her in Hertford, N.C.. They were a very accommodating and very helpful to make this happen. And my mom made one hell of a carrot cake when we were growing up from scratch. My mom said this was the best carrot cake she's ever had in her life.

This was my second time coming here. (I haven’t been here in years and have been wanting to come back). I recommended it to a friend that we eat there. She is allergic to seafood and dairy products so it can be kind of tricky on what she can eat. She went with a salad to stay safe. When she received the salad it had no lettuce. The manager came and was very rude!!!! She said “the description is in the menu.” My friend thought it was only the toppings they listed and assumed it came with lettuce. I will say my meal was delicious! Our waiter was very nice, however, I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich he said it comes with a side. I asked where the sides were and he pointed to the bottom. I ordered Mac n Cheese. When I got my bill I saw they charged me $3.00 extra for the Max n Cheese. I asked him why I was charged bc it does not say in the menu there is an up charge… nor did he mention it. I had no idea I had to pick from the “BBQ sides and not the Farm Sides.” He said “Yeah, I usually tell people but I forgot, do you want me to get my manager.” My friend said “No she was already rude”… I told him no I would just pay it.

Rules determined by the kitchen causes some problems getting what you want or what was advertised. Food is good tho and waitresses helpful as they can be. Could not get Easter Sunday brunch altho reserved.

The food was delicious. I ordered each one of the meats. All of them were cooked perfectly. The chips are dangerously delicious. I promise you won't stop at one! Service, my waitress was extremely accommodating. I don't think we could have had a better one. Ambiance well...the lighting could be better but the feel of the restaurant was inviting. Everyone was nicely relaxed. The best for last. I brought bread pudding home! I haven't had bread pudding this good since Landry's Seafood restaurant in Henderson La. They are closed down now. Anyway best bread pudding ever!

Service was… OK. Not blown away by it. I got the catfish Acadian. If you look at the picture, the little sliver of grilled onions and peppers on top of the catfish is what they called etoufee. Literally paid $30 for two pieces of catfish, Mac and cheese, and green beans. I asked the server about it, and she said that’s how it comes. She said she could get me extra etoufee, but I turned it down as she said extra and not complimentary. I’m visiting from being away from Louisiana for two years and they really missed the mark on my cravings for good Louisiana food. What a shame…

BRQ is a constant in my life. I go once a week because the food is just always good right along with the service. It's a fun lunch spot to break up the work day. Always packed at lunch but I've never had to wait for a table so don't let the full parking lot deter you! The kale and brussel salad is just too good. Thursday's special is chicken enchiladas and they are seriously maybe the best in Baton Rouge. Even the side of rice is amazing. Service is always great and the homemade chips are so good they will interfere with how much of your meal you can eat because you might fill up on the chips!

Went there for brunch, bad service, coffee was stale and cold , no salt , pepper or sugar on the table , fruit portions are a joke , got scrambled egg just enough for a tiny baby with my fried steak . Not going back.

Probably some of the driest BBQ I've ever had. This is Dickey's BBQ levels of dry. Absolutely not worth the price they charge. Had the brisket, pulled chicken, and ribs. All of them drier than a desert. The brisket had okay flavor, but was DRY. The pulled chicken and ribs were trash. Would not recommend. The outrageous price pushed this review down to 1 star instead of 2.
