Normally I don’t leave bad reviews but today’s visit was a waste of money. They were out of multiple items I’d asked for. The breakfast bowl had literally one thin piece of bacon. The pancakes we ordered tasted like they had almond extract in them. The food was great in the past but this visit was lacking, to say the least.

Locally owned cafe on Greenwell Springs Road in N Baton Rouge area, almost to Central. I've been here twice and had to get the delicious shrimp Poboy both times! I'm a critic of Poboy bread, but this one I love. I don't bother to get fries, but since these are included (and quite yummy), I gobble them up too! I hope to try the breakfast menu one day but haven't found myself in the area at that time yet. As far as I can tell, Cafe Jeanpierre is a one woman show! Again, I've only been there twice, but both times it's just the owner. She's quick to get the orders made and polite. No small talk, but that's perfectly okay. She also has lots of plants she tends to in the window that I love to admire. I first heard about this cafe several years ago in the news, so I'm glad I've finally doin it and been able to appreciate the awesome reputation. It's located in a strip mall on a major road, so make sure to GPS it to not miss it! I definitely recommend supporting this local biz; trust me, your tastebuds will thank you!

Well I didn't know the chicken biscuit was going to include the whole chicken. ? No complaints here. Suggestion, call before going to see if they have what you want because when I got there some of my top choices were not available. But I am glad I decided to give the chicken a try.

On 1-18-2023, My husband and I ordered two breakfast bowls and a waffle. The grits tasted like they were instant pack grits. I couldn't eat them. I have pics. It seemed to be one pack at that. One small piece of bacon and literally one small egg. A waste of my money and time. She is so wrong for that. I'm so done. I won't be going back. I've tried them before and the food was good. I don't know what happened this time. We will just stick to eating at safe places. Where we know the food is good or just cook it ourselves. Lesson Learned!

Had the Chicken and waffles. Great seasoning and flavor in the chicken, juicy not greasy with a great crunch to the breading. Had a mix of wings and legs. Waffles was great, sweet nice crisp crust on the outside and fluffy on the inside. All in all, excellent lunch!

Delicious food great service. Fish was fried to perfection and placed on toasted bread with lettuce mayo and pickles as requested. They had round fries like thick chips instead of regular fries and they were pretty good. I plan to order from here again.
