Went for lunch, and we ordered the Shaker beef and the shrimp meals, took almost 38 minutes to get on an hour lunch. Just barely made it back in time had to hurry up and eat which was unappreciated. However the food was very good and the restaurant was clean. Little noisy as always but I guess that's to be expected.
Been going to this place since they were in Denham Springs. Steven and Sally are top-notch. Great food and great service. The biscuits plain or with sausage or bacon or ham whatever you want or outstanding.

Best biscuits period. Eat them plain. The white gravy is good, but the biscuit is better. Generous serving of bacon with the big breakfast. Grits need a little work though.Staff is very friendly, haven't made it for lunch yet. Will update.

I go to Café Mimi often on my lunch breaks. The service and food is great! I wish there were more vegetarian options, but the ones they do have are really good.
Vegetarian options: Café Mimi has three vegetarian dishes that I get all the time. Veggie fried rice (can request no egg), veggie vermicelli bowl and veggie lo mein. They also have tofu that can be added upon request and some vegetarian sides.
