Caribbean Joe's Cafe

I drove to Caribbean Joe's Cafe today 8\6\24 for a Cuban sandwich with a friend. When we got there, was only one person behind the counter, she appeared busy so I waited for service to place an order. About five minutes later she walked up and said "wat you want"? I told her I wanted two Cuban sandwiches. She said "we closed". I looked at my phone and it was only 1:50pm. I told her I thought yall closed at 2:30. She said "we closed". I told her I live in Pride, LA. I drove 15 miles one way to get here. She then started yelling and cursing at me. This is outrageous. I can't ever remember being treated like this. I will never go to Caribbean Joe's again, I am going to tell every one I know how i was treated here.

My husband said the Cuban gave everything it was supposed to give. I had the jerk chicken wrap. It would've been nice if the chicken was marinated in something. Whatever sauce that was, it wasn't jerk.

Parking: They need to put a bigger sign out because they are in an office building with a big plaza sign but they aren't on it. There was a weather sign in the grass we only saw when leaving; passed it twice.

Jerk shrimp weren'tveryflavorful. Had the salad which was cheese, croutons, lots of pickles, lettuce and the shrimp. It was ok, just ok. Maybe try something other than the shrimp.

Got the jerk chicken sandwich and garlic curly fries. Absolutely amazing!

First time in and won’t be my last. This little hidden gem was amazing. Jerk Sandwich and garlic Parmesan Fries were amazing. Coworker had the Cuban Sandwich and agreed with another review stating “it’s life changing”. Highly recommend and the prices are great for lunch.

So… yesterday I had the Cuban sandwich. Now I lived in central/south Florida for 4 years so I’ve had my share of “authentic” Cuban sandwiches.This place did it, and did it well!The bread was fantastic, the pork was thicker sliced which was different, but very good change and very flavorful. The ham just as tasty. Everything was griddled and then the sandwich pressed. Now I paid extra for extra meat as typically Cubans kinda come up short in that department lol. But after enjoying my sandwich I don’t think I needed the extra.The portion was ? ?. I told the nice lady working the register that I was trying find the best Cuban in the city, and I think I did! Folks running the shop were super friendly to boot!

The best Cuban sandwich I have ever had was at Cafa Habana in Lafayette, but this beats that! I have been craving a good Cuban sandwich in Baton Rouge, and no where comes close. City Pork has one, but it is absolutely disgusting and too greasy. Don't look any further if you want a GOOD Cuban sandwich. My son and I visited yesterday, and we will be back

Food was excellent, I got the bacon cheese burger and the Cubano. Both were delicious!I would put this burger in my top 5 in BR.Cubano is top 3 that I've ever had.Sam was super nice and helpful with recommendations.

Parking: It's a little hard to find. It's inside the 2900 Westfork office building buy if you drive in to right, you see the storefront .

Best Cuban in BR. Pollo caliente one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Plantains always good. Hidden gem in an office building!

The Cubano is LEGIT!!!

It wasn’t nasty at all it was pretty decent. The effort. Was there I even received my plate of food warm. The staff deserved 5 stars really friendly and patient. Especially the guy at the register great customer service skills. The food was not nasty but it could have been better. Gotta marinate the chicken in j*** longer than that or it’s only going to be okay.
