I'm soooo disappointed. When we visit I always say take me straight to the Chicken Shack. My husband and I were so disappointed in the taste of the food. The chicken receipt has changed. We ordered food went straight to hotel ....I tool 2 bites of chicken and said oh hell no! Guys you have to do better.... please go back to the original way you cooked that chicken

Just order a 12 piece with two sides for $40 plus dollars. Food was old. And candy yams tasted like they sat in the fridge next to something else and it soaked up that flavor. I have been to Chicken shack before and the food isn’t good but it was doable. But today. I was so mad and disappointed with what they put in my bag and charged me $40 plus dollars for I had to come and post this bad review. I
2 piece Tuesday great special. But just because it's a special does not mean half fry chicken. Batter is not the same on any day. Serving there friends or people they know first. Crust coming off chicken. Quality is no more. If I'm waiting for chicken why isn't it hot

Knuckles sucking good... damn near at my own fingers off! I've been eating at this spot since I was a kind, and my dad is close friends with the owner, but that's not the half of it. Yes, this place is in the hood, and yes, it has recently been discovered by other people outside the hood, so it has become bigger. However, Mr. Delpit never switched up and never changed. He kept his franchise local and only spread to 3 places, but if im not mistaken, he closed the one-off plank road. The only complaint is,if you dont call in and order, then you will have to place an order, and it could be as quick as a 2 minute wait or 30 minute wait. BUT EVEN A 30 MINUTE WAIT is worth it. The chicken is amazing and the staff is friendly and professional. They are always busy, but they make sure to speak when they see you. On the up, man, they went into the wing business, and it didn't disappoint. We had all the flavors, and it puts any of your big block chain wings to sleep. When you go say hey to Troy and tell him them, Johnsons sent you! He'll know the judges! FYI, theres daily specials, poboys, porkchop dinners, oh, and sweet potato pies!
