If I can leave 0 stars I would.I drove there at around 11:30 and they close at 12 and they said they were not taking orders anymore.I was sweet about it and asked if theres anything easy thing they can make me. They said they’ll ask the manager but then quickly came back and said he said no theyre not taking orders very rudely. Okay than close at 11:30? Why have the hours til 12 if your’e not taking til 12. Close who making you stay open?????????? So annoying

To be honest I walked in with high expectations since I have been disappointed so many times at other places on true Nashville Hot Chicken! This place nailed it!! Delicious hot chicken and the sides are amazing! Service is spectacular!

First time dining inside the Chicken Wagon and was intrigued by the Nashville Hot Chicken. I love trying new chicken places! My boyfriend and I ordered the number#1 chicken sandwich with the medium level as our choice. I am not sure what batter they used, but it seem a bit off. The chicken is juicy, but the seasoning is alright. It needs salt. The food wasn't spicy at all! I was hoping it would be. It taste very mild. Fries were ok. I really love the Wagon sauce, though. Not a bad spot for lunch, though.

Everything tasted superb, and the facility was super clean, including the restroom. The tenders were huge and moist and nicely seasoned. If I lived nearby, I’d definitely go more often.

Food was great. Been there 3 times. Last time I went it tasted like the oil was old but it was still delicious just had an additional taste. Way better than canes. Their sliders with their coleslaw hits and it really hits when you add those honey packets they give you.

Been twice since they opened. The mild sandwich combo is where it’s at. Friendly and quick staff. Great chicken sandwich. You don’t get this type of chicken flavor anywhere else in br.

Messed up my to go order- actually forgot it altogether, so i had to wait for them to make it and it was so salty it was inedible. repulsive. I love salt and it was comically bad. I have done like 3 reviews ever, but considering the horribly salty food and the bad attitude of the employees, here we are.

Grand opening was lackluster. I got the strips and they were dry and not quite hot as if they'd been sitting up from a previous order. I also didn't like the texture of the coating on the chicken. I wasn't going to go back, but I figured I'd give it another chance since it's been a while. I still don't like how tough the coating is (and I'm really not sure if it's typical for Nashville chicken), but at least the chicken was freshly fried this time and well seasoned. The extra hot actually made my nose run, and it's not easy to find a place in BR sells truly spicy chicken tenders/sandwiches. One thing I found odd was that if you get the tenders as an entree, it's only $1 less than the meal so you might as well just get the meal. The tenders are the largest I've seen yet, so I guess it's not too bad. It's a better deal than tenders I've gotten from other places.
Over the past few years, Baton Rouge has seen an influx of Nashville and Nashville inspired hot chicken restaurants opening up one right after the other, with even national chains choosing to expand first into BR before anywhere else in the state. Chicken Wagon beats them all, and it is not a close fight. The chicken is hot, fried fresh, and is as spicy (or mild) as you can handle. The service is always exceptional, and the food is adequately priced. This has rapidly become one of my favorite spots in the city and i catch myself coming here multiple times a week lately.

Happened to be driving by on coursey around lunch time and saw the sign for Nashville hot chicken- which I love. Decided to stop in. Restaurant was clean. Service was friendly and quick. Got the #1 (sandwich) medium. Well seasoned but not overseasoned, like some places. Cole slaw on it was creamy and balanced the spice well. Fries were hot and seasoned well. Really enjoyed it. I’m not in the coursey area much but will definitely be back.
