This place was so bad. The server was so bad...the food tastes terrible. Never refilled our waters, checked on is, nothing.The only thing ok was the drink.

Sorry I forgot to take photos. Our waiters name is Payton, truly sorry if I misspelled your name. Payton was an excellent waiter, very friendly, very professional and always checked back on us. We were a group of 10. Food was really good. The burger brisket was really exceptional. If you are in the BR area, I don’t think you will be disappointed

Came at 6pm on the Saturday of memorial weekend. Made a reservation, but only one other table was occupied. Our server was friendly. I ordered the Cubano sandwich and a side of baked beans. My husband ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs. My sandwich (which I should have sent back) was dripping in some kind of vinegary sauce that left the bread a mushy mess. The pulled pork on the sandwich had no flavor at all. The baked beans were good. My husband’s ribs were almost cold. He probably would have sent them back, but by the time our server came around we were nearly done. Overall very disappointing. We, like many others have cut back on our dining out. One & done for us.

This is one of Baton Rouge’s best restaurants. Love this location and atmosphere. The service is great. Even the sandwiches here are worth the trip. Their brisket nachos are next level. Delicious.

Met my husband for a breakfast date. We were there for nearly an hour and never received our food. Our waitress asked if I wanted a coffee refill at one point and then never came back out. We were alone in the bar dining room for 30 minutes after that. I had to leave for an appointment so my husband waited and literally had to go in the back, find them and ask if they forgot about us. He was told they have a “25 top” in the back and to have a nice day. Nothing about the food being ready soon or sorry we wasted an hour of your time, literally nothing. Who does this?!

My husband and I went to City Pork for a late lunch. The sign at the hostess station said to go take a seat in the bar. We sat at a table near the bar. The bartender looked up from his phone and knew we were there. We sat for over 10 minutes and watched the bartender doing something on his phone, After 10 minutes we got up and left. At that point the bartender did look towards my husband again as we walked out. We went to another local restaurant across the parking lot. It will be a very long time before we try City Pork again.

I placed an order online through City Pork website. After not receiving the food during the delivery time, I called the store. The person that answered said Door dash hadn’t picked it up. I asked what is the next step and how I could track the order and she had no answers so I asked to speak to someone who could help. The General Manager Dan came to the phone and told me that it was just picked up, but had a very rude tone. He was more focused on defending himself than providing customer service. He kept saying “we did our part”, instead of just being understanding. The dryness and lack of concern for the customer made me not want to order from there again. Jefferson location tastes better anyway.

*I received a text from Door Dash when the order was picked up, when it was approaching, and after it was delivered. Apparently Dan, the General Mgr isn’t aware of this process because he could’ve said that and I would’ve been fine. Instead of basically saying “you paid your money, we made the food, and we don’t know how you’re gonna get it.”
