I purchased the half rack of ribs with boudin rice and also purchased a side of collard greens. Sadly I must say the whole meal was old. The rice was old the greens were old and so were the ribs. The ribs were so hard and dry they taste like bacon. I was very disappointed. A complete waste of $36. I'll never go again or refer anyone there.

I recommend the chef choice charcuterie board and the bacon old fashion.

Going here for years. Past few months food has been absolute trash. Don't know what changed in kitchen or management but im not going back. Stupid stuff like not removing strings from my string beans. The string got stuck hanging down my throat and was choking me. Didn't offer another side or refund or an apology.

I love the “idea” of this restaurant. The location is also admittedly perfect for me. Our waiter was professional and friendly, and I enjoyed leaving him a generous tip.

On the other hand, the restaurant clearly hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in some time (see my pic of the window sill behind my table). Sticky tabletops and menus, grimy windows, with cobwebs and dust everywhere. Not good, especially when a manager and multiple staff were hanging out in the bar area doing nothing.

The food…it’s just too greasy. Sandwich buns soaked in grease. French fries floating in a puddle of grease. A grease “slick” floating atop a plate of shrimp and grits. Grease, grease and more grease.

This is a great location with great variety of food and cocktails, but the execution is lacking and needs improvement.

My to go order vs the website pic. It was also cold like it had been in the fridge (not even room temp). No ice cream either.

We went for lunch this weekend (2/7/26) around 2pm. We normally enjoy the crawfish & Brie queso, except on several occasions the pork rinds served along with the dip have been hard as a rock, this time was a little better, but still not fresh. Elsie's Plate and Pie serve theirs fresh, so fresh they are still popping when they bring it to the table, and it is delicious and tender. I don't see why this restaurant couldn't do the same. I split the city club with the other person in our party and we upgraded from chips to French fries and added a side of macaroni and cheese. The fries were limp and greasy, like what you get from a fast food restaurant late at night, and the macaroni was served cold. I didn't send any of it back, but I did let the server know when she asked how everything was. She didn't seem to care and my concerns were not addressed by her or management. The server was too busy watching videos on her phone to care about anything anyway. As for the atmosphere, there were finger smudges all over the windows near our table. I understand kids will be kids, but I would hope that management would be on top of that after that party left. If they don't care what the dining room looks like, can you imagine how the kitchen looks? Gross. I had to hunt down the server to get our bill, she was MIA for about 30 minutes, and when I did see her to hand her my card, she didn't even stop the video on her phone to run my payment. City Group really needs to look into the management of this location, it is not run very well. I wouldn't be surprised if it closed down soon. They won't be getting any more business from me.

We went on a not so busy night the receptionist sat us directly next to another couple when there were multiple other 4 tops available. The kicker was I ordered a Hendricks martini on the rocks and they charged me $ 16 for the Hendricks and $4 more for the martini =$20.. Complained to no avail.

We had a very disappointing experience here last night, which was surprising because this restaurant used to be one of our favorites. Unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined. The food took an extremely long time—about 90 minutes just to get chicken fingers for our kids. When the food finally arrived, it was awful. The sandwiches were soggy and unappetizing. The boar flautas had almost no boar and were missing the avocado crema entirely. The fried chicken and fries were over-fried and tasted like old oil. Most concerning, 4 out of the 6 people in our group got sick afterward. Between the excessive wait times, poor food quality, and getting sick, this was not the experience we've come to expect. We really used to enjoy coming here, but after this visit, we probably won't be back.

The food was very bland. The pork spring rolls were delicious , but was the only good part of our entire meal. Our server Val was friendly and helpful but the food had no flavor. We used a ton of salt and pepper just to get flavor. Disappointed.

It has a great menu. I love tht you can sub the sides but my son loved the salmon and my smoked chicken was delicious. I also love the drinks.

The food is good, but it is a bit overpriced and the service is slow. I have had multiple meats and seafood dishes, and they deliver a pretty good experience at a bit of a premium.
