We ended up at this place with my family looking for a cozy place to have coffee. This was the perfect spot for us.The kids had a blast and they enjoyed their drinks as well.Crème brûlée was delicious (better than STBX to be honest). The service was great. This whole area has been transformed from an electric company factory into bars, coffee house and retailers (gift stores).Definitely worth making it your spot to visit for coffee with family and friends.Parking: Parking is limited for the number of businesses- at least close by.Kid-friendliness: Nice space and good drinks like hot chocolate or cold drinks

Amazing selection of drinks that changes with the season. Food is pretty good, but less of a selection, which is important if you are going to stay and work on stuff. Usually full of people working, but I've always found at least one seat.
Been meaning to check it out Electric Depot and my coworker finally got me here raving about the Kenya Roast coffee at City Roots Coffee.Ended up getting Banana Foster (because I prefer flavored lattes). It wasn't better than PJs Butterscotch Rum but it was good and the espresso definitely kicked in.The ambience, peaceful and serene environment got me hooked. Will definitely be back.#MidCity#GardenDistrict

We visited today and ordered a sugar free vanilla latte. Our coffee was warm and tasted bitter due to the barista putting too much sugar free syrup. The foam topping was sloppy.My husband decided to try and drink this half hearted made coffee, not me. My husband took my coffee back and explained our concerns. The options offered to fix the problem were they could add more espresso to make it stronger or add more milk or make it over. I opted to remaking. A sip of the remade coffee was no better. Sloppy foam topping with the same bitterness. We paid a little over $10 for shit coffees.We politely placed the unfinished on the counter and left.When folks serving customers have attitudes, not happy, or just plain nonchalant it comes out in what they make. We been here four times and had a really decent coffee experience. Not this time. We probably won't be back as there are better coffee houses out there.This also will be posted on Yelp with a pic of the coffee served to us.Deserve No Stars for Service or Coffee.

I'm from BR but have been living out of state since 2017. Finally got to visit and saw this added to Mid City.This is the coffee bar that BR has been needing! I'll be dreaming about a shakerato from now on. The menu is well crafted, and the atmosphere is fitting for what appears to be a revitalized.
