Probably one of the most authentic tacos in Baton Rouge area. Clearly underrated.
El Tio is hands down one of the best Mexican spots I’ve been in Baton Rouge! The atmosphere is so good and welcoming, it immediately makes you feel comfortable. Their guacamole is fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the carne asada tacos were unbelievably juicy and flavorful—definitely a must-try. The enchiladas had this incredible tangy tomatillo sauce that tied everything together beautifully. To top it off, their margaritas are next-level, super refreshing and perfectly balanced. The service was also spot on—friendly, fast, and really helpful with recommendations. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food that hits all the right notes, El Tio is the place to go!
Delicious tacos. very friendly staff!
Horrible, I was definitely disappointed. I ordered a Honduran chicken with slices and they gave me breaded roast chicken. The girl who served me was very friendly, but the cook should know the recipes for the meals he prepares. If not, don't make them because it makes the gastronomy of the countries look bad.

One of the worst places in BR. Terrible service, messy, with horrible music and extremely high volume. One of the highest prices I have seen. I don't recommend it at all. I went in, I wanted to give them a chance but no one helped me, I saw the prices and I preferred to laugh and left. Of course I won't return.

The roast gorditas are my favorites, they are the best for me in this restaurant, very delicious 10 out of 10
We ordered several dishes from the specials menu. When we tried to pay, they charged us more than the displayed price. We told the cashier that the price was not correct, she refused to change it.

Ordenamos varios platos del menú de especiales. Cuando intentamos pagar, nos cobraron más del precio mostrado. Le avisamos a la cajera que el precio no era correcto, ella se negó de cambiarlo.
I haven’t been back here in years until last week. They really amped up the space. Food is just as delicious. The lengths, asada, and pastor tacos were so good. The burrito is huge and also delicious. Highly recommend!
The tacos at this restaurant were absolutely amazing. The flavors were rich and delicious, and the size portions were generous. I highly recommend trying them out if you ever find yourself in Baton Rouge. Trust me, you won't regret it! Overall, I would rate these tacos a perfect 10 out of 10.

Best corn tortillas and tacos in Baton Rouge. The tortillas are thick and fresh, not the type that has just been pulled out of a plastic bag and reheated. Portions are very generous, the salsas are delicious, and the meat is of very good quality. The menu offers a large variety of dishes, everything tastes great, and prices are very reasonable. This restaurant is modest, it offers homestyle, authentic Mexican and Central American cooking, so if you are looking for a large Tex-Mex place with the Cancun vibe, fake Mexican decor, air conditioning, a bar, large frosted margarita glasses with a selection of different tequilas, sizzling fajitas brought to your table on a cast-iron pan, and the whole Chili's-style suburban experience, this place is not where you want to go
