The restaurant might as well shut down at this point. The service is horrible and it just doesn’t hold the same value as it once did. The dude at the front counter has a horrible attitude and the food isn’t that good anymore to deal with all the bs.
A must-stop if downtown Baton Rouge!! The rootbeer is from the tap and deliciously old-fashioned. Of course you can add ice cream for a frosted mug rootbeer float! I always get the Crab burger.

Found a dick hair in my fries. Ate it.
Well worth the drive. I enjoyed Whole lot-A-Burger and the Onion Rings. I loved my float.

It was heartbreaking to see that Frostop is no longer thriving. I remember the great reputation of this popular restaurant for lunch. Now, it's dirty, and the shrimp poboy isn't made with gulf shrimp. The poboy was greasy with too much mayo, and the small shrimp weren't deveined. The fries were fresh, and it was apparent that they were made with real potatoes. However, I'm not crazy about fries, and I don't like food from dirty restaurants, so I won't be going back.

The folks working here are the best. If you're looking for a good burger for a reasonable price, it's worth a trip off the freeway.
The atmosphere is pretty plain, but that doesn't detract from the tasty burgers served fresh from the grill.
The person taking my order had some nice words about the large group of high school kids I brought in. It's a shame kindness like this is so rare these days.
I'd make a point to go back if I'm back in the area.

The only reason to come here is for the root beer. Everything else was subpar. The only otherthing good was the poboys becuase of the light breading. Other than that everything else was bland and forgettable. The restaurant has seen its better days and is rundown. Everything is original from 1950s. It really needs a facelift. There was also a homeless person sleeping at a table tucked in the corner. There was also homeless around the outside of the building. Would only comeback for the root beer and nothing else.
