Cheaper, better, tastier, faster than McDonalds down the street. Staple of BTR and still serving great poboys and hamburger. I absolutely love not everything is wrapped in plastic please never change that. Paper bag,all that is perfect.

I've heard a lot of good things about Frostop over the years and finally decided to check them out. Wow! The burger I had was fantastic. I will have to come back and try some of their other stuff on the menu—especially that root beer float! The workers were kind and took good care of me and those with me. Highly recommend.

Ate here on Nov. 3rd 2025. Was passing through on our way back home to Texas. Food was unlike anything I’ve had before. Crab burger was 10/10 and the Chili Cheese dog as well. And the root beer was a dream come true. Currently planning my trip to LA just so I can eat here again!

I went to a place down the street that turned out to be a bar and I was completely ignored so I walked out. I'm glad that I did. I got back on Google Maps and found the Frostop. Having never been here before I thought I'd give them a try. What an awesome little burger joint. It seems that they have a following and this place reminds me so much of my old haunt Chuck's Dairy Bar in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. This place has been in business coming up on 73 years. I't would be the coolest to see a time lapse of all the change that has occurred during that time. And the Whole Lot Burger combo is where it's at. Jules Winnfield would agree that it is one tasty buger! Add a side of fried okra.

Old school! Formica counters, chrome and nostalgia. Fantastic root beer with free refills. Good burger and fries You won’t leave hungry. Place is very clean but getting a little run down. There’s a fine line between retro nostalgia and dumpy.

This place is a waste of money. I got a BBQ beef po boy. Wasn't anything on the sandwich except 1 SINGLE slice of beef. Restaurant is old as hell.

I got the cheeseburger and onion rings. The cheeseburger is made to order and fresh. The onion rings are some of the best I have had in Baton Rouge. They are thin and very crunchy. The restaurant is very dated and could use a refresh. I am there for the food and would go back. Friend got fried okra and said was great and fresh okra.
As always this place never fails to satisfy. The burger special with a frosty mug of root beer is the stuff you remember from your childhood. I'm so glad they're still putting out a delicious burger and the best root beer in town.

This is a '50s era original place downtown Baton Rouge.Can't miss, there's a huge mug of rootbeer for sign. Make their own rootbeer which is what i got! Delish!Burgers served there. Old diner. Everyday walk of life people go there. Take a friend! Counter area, tables, mostly booths all original.
