The dirtiest place in b. R. Food was not fresh dont know how they are allowed to cook never again
Meh. The food was average. The service is basically non-existent. No one informed us when we walked in that we had to walk over to the bar to order. We sat and waited for a good 20 minutes when we finally were able to get a bus boy's attention & he let us know. There was 1 lady handling the whole restaurant. She yelled our name when our food was up and we had to help ourselves. The atmosphere is old, outdated and dirty looking. There's even an old cigarette dispensing machine still on display 🤨 There's too many decent places to eat in Baton Rouge to have to endure this experience. The prices are high for the small portions (with no sides included). Save your money and time and skip this place.
The chicken salad was small for the price. They have a nice menu and good food.
It’s like more of a bar vibe bar food but it’s worth going

Food takes too long every time I go there. Have been 4 times and 2 times they served the party I was with except me. Simple order too. Just a cheeseburger or poboy
Great Burger as always. Service is good. Atmosphere is a little bit bleak but that's okay. I feel like their price point is a little bit high for a burger fry and drink. But whose isn't these days?

This place is going down down downhill very fast, used to be great food and service, now it's too pricey, food is sub par, sweet tea must have been sitting out for a week and was very sour. So disappointed. I used to love this former BR Staple.

I miss the original but the two remaining are indistinguishable from the other over the last 30 years. It’s George’s.
When preparing for the second location, customers were allowed to sign the tables. My girlfriend and I are immortalized at the Staring/Highland location.
Parking: Parking is never an issue. Gets kinda tight at the George O’Neal location on Friday and Saturday but always a spot.
Kid-friendliness: The original was small and more of a bar. The two remaining locations are spacious with plenty of room inside and outside.

We've eaten there twice this week and the food is fabulous. We tried the low carb chicken and the low carb hamburger platters, both with grilled veggies. We had the red beans and rice with fried pork chop. Everything was great. Can't wait to go back.

We went with a group of friends and family. They had a variety of items for adults and kids as well as adult beverages. The employees were friendly and helpful.
