Not only was the food amazing but I left my “purse” there and Tony and his team were kind enough to ship it to me in Texas!!! 5 stars!

This is a typical local place with poboys, burgers, etc. I love going there on Wednesdays to get their chicken fried steak special. Our son loves to go there because they have a game room with a claw machine that gives out candy. We always leave full and happy.

Red beans and rice at George’s ain’t nothing nice. Portion size was small, sausage link about the size of a hot dog and flavor was missing entirely. When asked how it was and I said mid the lady told me “there is hot sauce to flavor if you want, most of our customers are old and can’t handle a lot of seasonings “ what the heck!!! Corn bread was nothing more than jiffy mix. I understand we are in a recession but come on man it’s red beans and rice take pride in your food.

Mouth watering, well seasoned, best poboy in a long time. Loved the self serve like counter and darker atmostphere, well dub it is a bar, but still it is very relaxed and enjoyable. If you’re expecting a typical restaurant experience, don’t. It wasn’t bad, but with it being our first time there we were clueless. When you walk in the door, nobody greets you. You get in line or walk up to the bar to write down your own order and hand it to the bartender who will read it back to you and make any adjustments. If it’s busy, grab a table quick! Take turns getting your drink so as to not lose the table. They will call your name when it’s ready, you must retrieve it and pay for it then. When you’re done, just leave it there. There’s a busboy on the lookout to clear your table for the next customer.

Great neighborhood “dive-bar”, with counter service (fill out your own order then pickup at the bar).Good burgers, fries & rings are a staple. They do have a pretty substantial menu with the usual bar grub.Great place to catch a game on one of several tvs or just hang out.
