Thankful for the consistency I can expect from Gourmet Girls. Their recipes never disappoint and the quality is always of the highest standard. I walked in and asked her how to feed bridesmaids all day. She laid out the perfect menu and when it was picked up it was displayed beautifully. My guests raved all day about every dish. A true highlight of our wedding festivities!

Can't speak to the food, just the customer service. I received no response to the online catering request form I filled out. After calling, it took 3 business days for the catering person to call back to answer my questions. When I finally reached someone, I received nothing but attitude. I asked if they could deliver (5 minutes away) - "we already have another event that day, so probably not." I asked about the size of certain sandwiches that were 3x the price of other sandwiches (I assumed they might be bigger, they were not) - she was clearly offended by the question. I asked if I could have a side of chicken for the orzo and salad (vs mixed in) to accommodate vegetarians - "we don't really do that." Then she had the audacity to say that she didn't think I was a good fit for their business. What happened to trying to please the customer? I was excited to support a local female-owned business for my sister's shower (~$800 order), but I'll be better off going to Whole Foods. Such a disappointment and unpleasant experience.

Best retail in Baton Rouge - by a mile. The selection and atmosphere rivals any home store in Dallas, Atlanta, or Manhattan.

Like the menu. Looks pricey.

It was my first time walking into the store, and I was taking my time to look around. The lady (owner I presume), walked around hastily and glared at me up and down before asking if I wanted anything. Then, the teenage girl at the counter had a giggly yet condescending attitude. I was wearing athletic wear, and didn't think of it. However, when I noticed the owner asked another lady who came in if she needed anything with a friendly attitude, I realized it was a race thing. I ordered two macarons, one passionfruit, and another lavender bluberry, which were unfortunately sweet and bland; no passionfruit taste whatsoever, which was disappointing. One could taste the lavender in the lavender lemonade, but it wasn't quite sweet enough. The passionfruit bonbon was good, but not worth the gross attitude and the indication that I shouldn't sit in the little corner with the chairs but rather leave as soon as possible.

Best king cake around. Really, anytime you want to impress/surprise and leave an impression with something sweet, this is the place to do just that.

crab cakes awful. Those at our dinner feast could not eat them.

Tasty food! They accidentally overcharged me for jelly. Thankfully, I received a refund after pointing out the mistake. The customer service person was cold/robotic and brutally direct in their manner of speaking but ultimately "made it right." Go here for the gourmet food. Hospitality is not their strong suit. 2 stars

Had a Instacart order for the owner of this business Kathy. Called her to let her know I was there with the order and she got smart and hung the phone up in my face. What a nasty attitude to be an owner of a business. Total disregard for working class people.

I stopped in here early on a weekday morning after a really long time- I used to go to Gourmet Girls regularly when they were located on Perkins, and I was excited to check out this location. I understand they are not meant to cater to all diets, but I was disappointed that there was not a single vegan item in the pastry/cookie area or in the coolers. This is an area of town that doesn't have many vegan options (unless you count Whole Foods), and I was hoping to get a little treat. I browsed for a few minutes and ended up getting a black coffee (only cream available) and a cute kitchen item. The service also wasn't particularly friendly or inviting, and I felt like I did not want to stick around to browse more because of this.
