If you want some REAL, down south, country cooking, get here fast! I’ve eaten here multiple times and the food is consistently good. Staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. Hands down some of the best food in B.R.

Consistency Clean Polite!

I went in today for the first time and I witted on line for 30 minutes. I didn’t really mind waiting but once I ordered asked the lady did they have meat in the beans and she said yes but then said something slick behind it to the other person. I then asked for chicken and was told that I would have to pay extra for chicken as it did not come with the plate. I was told that I could have gotten a 3 piece with side of red beans. I wasn’t told that and the guy asked was it my first time and I said yes he said well you didn’t know and asked me what pieces of chicken did I want as if he was going to charge for the regular chicken plate. I said two legs and he preceded to charge me $1.75 a piece for the chicken. I wanted to love this place and the food but they don’t cook real rice and the beans had no flavor at all. Needless to say I am not impressed and won’t be going back.

GREAT TASTE CAFE is the place to be! The staff are courteous, friendly and on their grind. The food is 5 stars all the way. I got the smothered pork chop with rice and gravy, cabbage and spaghetti and cheese, with a cup of candied yams, and everything was seasoned just right. I don't know if the man on the register is the owner but his humility and welcoming spirit is worth mentioning. I pray that this business will continue to prosper !
