Louisiana doesn’t have a real soul food restaurant ,terrible…Like Billy’s in Jackson or Big Daddy’s dish in Atlanta…So soul food name shouldn’t be associated with This place not enough options smh

Fresh fast friendly good food like it's fresh from mom's kitchen! I eat from here several times every week! They treat you like family and greet you with a smile. The prices are very reasonable and the plates are loaded, today I told them I'm glad that they don't charge by the pound, lol. They take their time and prepare your plate with care. Once the guy at the register apologize for taking so long as he was on the phone taking an order and he was making sure that my meals were properly bagged and balanced as not to leak out the savory gravy and juices of the meal and I told him that "it's ok it's soul food, not fast food". But they are faster than any "fast food" restaurant that I have ever been to. Sometimes when I cook ribbs or a roast I'll just swing by and get my sides from them to complement my main course as you can get a large side for about $8 and it's a lot.

Came at 11 But the place wasnt Open Yet had to double back at 11:30.Bought a Plate From Here for the 2nd time because Everyone deserves a second chance. This time I bought Ettouffe & Mac & cheese. The Ettouffe tasted of Chitlins or Maybe it was Spoiled Either way I wasn't Happy.Mac & Cheese tasted like tangy Sour Cream. Just Won't be back.But i tried

I don’t have any actual food pictures…I placed my order on GrubHub, hours in advance…when I arrived to pick my order up, I was informed my order was given to another customer and there are no more RIBS . I ordered a rib plate and a turkey wing plate…they had the turkey wing plate for me, however what about my husband? They were not accommodating did not offer any substitutions. There is a bar with already made food you can order, but I wasn’t impressed enough with the selection to take a picture or order any of it.

Food was okay/bland, service not so good the day I went; they weren’t friendly and both staff members and owner were occupied with each other and didn’t acknowledge me except to ask “what are you getting today?” I had to ask for the receipt.
