This is my all time favorite lunch spot in Baton Rouge. It’s honestly a hidden gem, literally hidden in the Foyer, off of Perkins. I don’t know how this hasn’t received hundreds of 5 star ratings yet. Their soups are SO good, especially their roasted red pepper gouda soup (oh my gosh). You can’t go wrong with any of their soups or sandwiches though. All are fantastic.Try not to miss grabbing a slice of the best cake in town either from Mrs. Nanette Mayhall - they serve...
I was incredibly surprised at this small restaurant. Located in the back of an art and furniture store, this place was brimming with its own local charm. If you have a little bit of time, it's a really good place to grab a good lunch! I personally recommend the muffaletta!
Upon first view, this is a store with some cool decorating, art, or gift items. But, on a closer look, there is a café in the back. However, the tables are located amongst the items for sale. So, people have to reach over diners if they want to see the items on the walls by the tables and diners may have shoppers lingering around their tables to shop. Otherwise, this is a small cute lunch spot. Muffaletta was tasty but dry.
