We were ushered to a seat next to a broom and a cleaning kit to welcome us. Prime stake was practically inedible. The tip guide at the bottom of the bill showed a minimum of 18% together with the associated amount which actually included tip on tax as well, making the actual minimum tip 20%. J. alexander is resting on its laurels.

I ordered steak medium well. It was cooked well beyond that. It was cooked beyond well done. It was dried out. No juice. I ordered a take out order and didn’t feel like coming back with it. But I am very dissatified

My first time here at J.Alexander's. So worth the trip from Lafayette. My entire meal has been remarkable. I ordered the red wine blend Parradoxx, which had a slight Pinot Nior flavor to it. I ordered a house salad with Blue Cheese dressing which was rich and full of woodsy flavors. My salad was a big hit with me. Vegetables were crisp and served with beautiful presentation. I ordered the Filet with Berinaise sauce and baked potatoe. It was cooked so perfectly that it was truly a work of art. For dessert I got the chocolate cake. I am not usually a chocolate fan at all but this did not disappoint!! The rich cocoa blended perfectly with the vanilla ice cream. Now for the service... my waiter, Ali, was so good. His knowledge of the menu was very good, but his quiet professionalism was undeniable. He checked all the boxes as to dressings and preparation, but he additionally checked for how and when you wanted everything served. Ali, eyes were constantly scanning to be certain that my meal and needs were being met. Now, I don't know anything about Ali, except that he was young, but he could have been at home in the finest restaurants in Chicago! His attention to detail made my incredible lunch even more spectacular! An incredible meal, prepared exquisitely, with a waiter like Ali! Just absolutely perfect!

I'm in my favorite restaurant waiting to pickup my order. A thorough freshening of the air and restroom check is needed. So disappointed.

It was my 1st time at J. Alexander's based on my daughter's recomendation. I decide to celebrate by birthday here with by daughter and her boyfriend. Or Server was a young lady by the name of Santana. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all my questions. We enjoyed all of our selections. Santana was very attentive and charming. I will be back!

Great lunch- get the tai kai salad!
Update: early dinner at the bar. Juan, Shah, and Aiden provided excellent service.

Food was excellent.

We had the sliced ribeye with brandy peppercorn. We had the baked potato for one of us and the roasted cauliflower.

Shah recommended some excellent sauces for the Mr. Jack's chicken fingers dinner. The Sriracha sauce and jalapeno sauces were fantastic!

Always great food and service! Tried the suggestion from the waitress. Wow, she was spot on! The carrot cake was so moist, warm, and flavorful. If you like a cinnamon roll or a bread pudding or carrot cake, imagine putting all of them together. It was amazing! The icing put it over the top!

Excellent place, the staff are professional, very intelligent! They make amazing drinks , with the largest portion in town. My favorite bartender is Emma, she is friendly, intelligent, and will take care of you!
Thank you all for an amazing experience.

This is a great date night venue. The atmosphere is cozy and reminiscent of a Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style vibe with amber lighting. The food is top notch. Haven’t ever had anything here that wasn’t awesome!

Parking: Large parking lot with copious spaces!

We all had another late night heading back home and always to our surprise, MOST places are closed by 9! This place stays open til 10! Thank God! ?
It was 5 of us, got there around 9:20pm. Our waitress was Maddie. What a beautiful and pleasant young lady!! Very attentive too! I will request her next time we stop by! We ALL love the atmosphere at this restaurant! The food??? wow! Exceptional!! Everything is just superb!
Even though we got there late, close to closing, we are never pressured to eat and leave so they can close! That means a lot! We truly enjoyed it and we will return when we are out of town again! Thank you all from our waitress to the cooks! Excellent job!! Kudos! ???????

Looking for a place still open to eat with my friends, and we passed by saw it, turned around to give it a try! THANK GOD we did!
The whole experience was great!
They welcomed us in even though they closed at 10pm. The waiter was super friendly & very attentive! The food was very good and a large portion size! I had the Cypress salad, only I requested grill chicken instead of fried.
That was the best tasting salad ever!! The atmosphere was nice. Not loud. The building itself was beautiful! Inside out!
We truly had a very nice time and meal there.
I def. recommend others to stop in and give them a try! Im sure I will be back one day! Thanks for the great food and service! ???

You really need to have to go boxes that are ventilated. So, peoples food are not soggy by the time they get home and we only live but 5-10 minutes away. My shrimp and french fries are completely soggy. I am now having to air fry to make it crispy again. Get boxes that have ventilation.
