Jay Alexanders in Baton Rouge is one of those places to go if you want a complete dining experience. The service and the food has ALWAYS been EXCELLENT and tonight was no exception. They were busy and we had a short wait for an accessible table ( in a wheelchair) but again, it was worth it. Highly recommend this restaurant. Chloe and Madison were OUTSTANDING. Thank you again for a wonderful dining experience!

We stopped in while traveling out of state, and this location turned out to be the perfect break. The atmosphere and menu reminded us of Houston’s—elevated décor with a comfortable feel. While I was a little disappointed they didn’t offer a spinach dip appetizer, everything else exceeded expectations.

Our server, Drew, was prompt, polite, and very attentive to our requests. We’ve visited other locations in this chain and have consistently had great experiences, and this one was no exception. The steak was cooked perfectly with a great sear. Although there’s no dedicated kids’ menu, we were able to customize portions to make it work.

Parking was plentiful, even with the restaurant being next to a busy mall. Overall, a reliable and enjoyable stop on our trip.

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch as first time visitors. My first impression was the upscale atmosphere and quiet ambience. Our server was Mackenzie, who was friendly and attentive to our needs. She even took extra care to ensure my husband's food allergies would be accommodated. Our food arrived quickly and we were thoroughly impressed. It was the best dining experience we've had in years! We will definitely be back for a special occasion and would gladly recommend it to anyone for an experience that you can't find anywhere else.

We found the atmosphere at J. Alexander’s Restaurant felt very upper scale. Though it is a very casual place the decor is very nice. Our food was really good, my shrimp tacos were delicious. My wife had fish tacos and really enjoyed them. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. This is a nice place to eat and we will return.
