The best place in BR for oysters & other cafe items! All good is made from scratch & Ms Shirley really does a great job with how the food is seasoned and cooked ! My waitress was very friendly and helpful making sure my drinks were always full and the food came out pretty quickly ! Great place to watch LSU or SAINTS games, great environment to hang out at !

My boyfriend and I went for his birthday meal since he wanted seafood. We went and were told to sit wherever we wanted. Cool. We sat down and the first thing we noticed is the whole table top was sticky. The waitress was nice but immediately told us that she was training two others because some waitresses left. Unprofessional of her. She took our order of two cokes and a loaded fry. The cokes came out fine but the appetizer was delivered right before the food which was kind of out of order. Normally the appetizer comes well before. My boyfriend ordered the grilled shrimp platter with an order of hushpuppies. The amount of shrimp was so little that I was glad the appetizer was so big so he could eat on some of that. I got the catfish platter with coleslaw and potato salad that also came with hushpuppies. The waitress brought out mine and immediately dropped a hushpuppy on the floor and tried to brush it off saying "Oop that was a hushpuppy" then never brought me another one for her mistake. The serving plates that we got our appetizer on were both dirty. This place deems itself a cafe while really it's sports bar with outrageous prices and okay food. Won't be back here again. The waitress was nice but that's about it.

Seafood gumbo had no crawfish, no shrimp, the crab was cooked in the rue and when I desperately used a fork to crack the claws due to them having no claw crackers in deck, the meat inside had cooked down to nothing but nutrient free sludge. I didn't pay. Also the rue was pitch black and I wouldn't be surprised if it were cooked the day to several days before. I've never seen sausage smaller than a hot dog. Might have simply been over cooked for hours, just have never seen that before. I used to dine there with my father when he was alive, cause he loved the place. Tried to rekindle some nostalgia and ended up empty handed with a bad taste.

It’s been a while since visiting Jones Creek Cafe, but based on my last visit, it won’t be so long until the next one. Five of us ate, and everyone’s food was excellent. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Everything was great. Until the very end when I watched the server actually steal my MIL's lip gloss right off the table.

My fiance and I adore this place. The food has always been beyond good and the employees are very sweet. My previous experience however wasn’t as great as normal. Waitress was still very nice and very accommodating the oysters, pasta Baton Rouge and fried catfish all very delicious and everyone was happy. I however ordered the Grilled redfish. When it got to the table it was clearly over cooked, it was ice cold and the more I ate the fish the saltier it had become. Let’s say I won’t be ordering that again which is upsetting because I love redfish. I will continue to dine at this restaurant but I hope the owner or manager becomes aware that the grilled redfish needs to be prepared better. As I said all the other food was very good, I just wasn’t pleased with the redfish.

Terrible service and the food is subpar compared to other restaurants in the area. Get ready to sit there for awhile before your server says anything to you. Then get ready to wait even longer. Pretty much your gunna have to flag them down to get any service.
