The halibut with lump crab topping was rich but balanced, and the turtle soup carried deep, savory flavor. Service stayed attentive without being stiff, and the classic, upscale atmosphere made the night feel polished and memorable.
My lobster and Brussel sprouts were very good. My husband said his fish needed seasoning. We ordered the crab beignets as an appetizer and our server forgot to place the order so they arrived agter our entree. She offered us a free dessert but not of our choosing. They gave us bread pudding that neither one of us eat, but they were very nice about it. We ordered the desserts we wanted, since that's what we had planned on doing anyway.
Picked this restaurant for a graduation event. Was overpriced and the food quality was mid. Lots of little things - many shells in the crab soup, asked for medium rare steak and it arrived well done. Dessert - which is supposed to be a specialty - was more like a mass produced airport lounge level of product. Service was good. Interesting decor, a LSU theme crossed with a high end ivy League library. They did provide a free sparkler for the graduate. I will look elsewhere...
