It’s a decent place to eat. Was making a quick stop here in Baton Rouge and found this place. The all you can eat “buffet” had more of a taqueria vibe and mood setting in my opinion. The food selection is low and so was the sushi. Their main focus is their hibachi. You select your meats and veggie and leave your plate there so they could cook it up for you and deliver it to you. The waiters and waitresses were all very nice and friendly. Although their food selection was low, they all tasted great and looked great. They present their food well with a more aesthetic presentation. The sushi is all rolled on the spot unlike most ‘all you can eats’. I went in during lunch and it was at $12.99 a person. Overall I believe it’s a great hangout place with good food. I enjoyed it.

Great food and service

Tried their hibachi lunch, and the portion size was absolutely massive! I couldn't even eat half of it in one sitting. Definitely the best bang for your buck...their gyoza and gyoza sauce is also delicious!

It's so peaceful and the food is really high quality. I miss the buffet, but I deeply appreciate that they changed their business model for COVID to keep everyone safe. Mask required.

The food there was great! It was disappointing that the sushi buffet was offline, but its understandable given the current circumstances. The waitstaff did a great job; they were there when we needed them, and not there when we didn't. Go support this local business!

(Taste and See) They close at 10:30 PM, I arrived at 9:25 PM. There was a 4 top and big top (about 9 ppl) already seated and eating their food. I ordered 2 rolls and a beer around 9:30.I received my beer immediately, which was good. After 15 mins of waiting, and slowly drinking my beer, I decided to pull out my phone and watch some old Conan remotes on YT to help pass time. While I was waiting about 2 ppl came in to pick up to go orders. A little after 10, the big top table decided to order more food and was immediately waited on. They even received their food promptly while I was still waiting for 2 rolls.Around 10:25, the big top paid, then left. 10:30 was approaching, they were closing soon, and I still hadn't received my food. This was my first time coming here, and I didn't want to be rushed to eat or anything. So, at 10:33, I decided to just pay for my beer and leave. On my way to the front counter, the lady approached me with my food in hand, but I declined, and said, "I'm sorry, I have to go. It took kind of long, I'll just pay for my beer." She said sorry, but then the chef from the kitchen, who could see me leaving, screamed something in a foreign language at her, then she screamed something back at him. I paid for the beer, then left.Race is the last thing I think of when certain things are done to me. I try to be logical and look at things from different angles.Just from observation & experience, my opinion is, if you're black, don't go in to eat, order your food to go. That way, they don't KNOW your race, therefore, they can't mistreat you, or make you wait 1 hour for food while you observe other tables who are Caucasian (big top, 9ppl), or Asian (4top), who already have their food, constantly be served before you....or maybe the chefs and helpers in the kitchen just have poor time management skills on slow nights.

Kaminari (aka Taste & See) used to be worth 5 stars in my book, but the quality has deteriorated severely over the years. During the visit prior to this one yesterday, the food was incredibly salty--saltier than it usually had been. Nevertheless, the food was still pretty good. Yesterday, during my most recent visit, I found the rice in the shrimp fried rice to be hard/crunchy and undercooked. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice were rubbery and low in quantity. The restaurant had a large quantity of sushi available, but most of it looked as though it had been sitting out on display since lunchtime (my visit was for dinner service). It saddens me that the quality has deteriorated over the years because I have so many good memories of enjoying food here with friends.

Okay I would give ya'll 5 stars because I love you but ever sense the new name and owners happened you started putting cucumber in the sushi as a filler. Stop. It is gross, unnecessary, and it ruins it. I can't even eat the sushi rolls anymore cause they are just cucumber rolls.

This place is one of a kind. The habachi you put on your plate everything you want be it noodles, rice, chicken, wgfs and so on. Once you picked out what and how much you want of what on your plate, they then cook it for you and bring it to your table. You pay the flat fee for that and you get as much sushi as well along with edsmame and other deserts.

It's ok. More good than bad but not the best sushi imo.
