ordered takeout, took about 40 minutes even though we were told 20 minutes. the food wasn’t packaged well, our taco soup completely spilled out and leaked through the bag by the time we got home. the food was pretty good but not worth $47.. we didn’t order that much. we may come by and dine in and try the margs, but disappointing takeout experience.

La Carrera is yummy. Literally just very annoyed that I ordered from DoorDash but there was no option to order salsa so I called and was like "hey! I saw no option to order salsa so can I do it through you? I'm sorry!" She said "all of our orders come with salsa". Despite calling...mine did not. I was ignored by three different employees for about five minutes as o waited to pick up carry out. When I did get waited on the waitress set my order on the bar, along with the check and walked away. I gave her the $40 in cash for an $18.56 tab, which she passed to someone and she walked away again. Five more minutes later she gives me $19, two fives and 9 ones but not the .44 cents in change. I suppose that's all she wanted. I obliged her. I won't go there again. The taco salad had a quarter cup of lettuce and it was cold.

No i do not recommend this restaurant. I placed a to go order and it was just awful. Not the right items and big time overcooked!! I contacted the restaurant via email on 3 occasions to see if they would want to address this issue versus my leaving this review. I never heard from them. Will not order from or eat in this restaurant ever again.

I placed a to-go order after arriving to this location and was served immediately by the host. 15 mins and my meal was bagged and ready to go. Payment was processed quickly. We got the Birria tacos, a side tamale, la Mexicana combo, and churros. ALL the food was absolutely delicious. 5/5

Ordered a grubhub meal for pick up. The man had an attitude with I asked something as simple as water then adjusted my order and tried to add a fee for something I never ordered! Yall are ridiculous. I am never ordering here again. The food was nasty and cold.

WORST MEAL in Baton Rouge. Asked for charro beans and got black beans, waitress got order wrong, tamale was so cold it was inedible and the red sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce. When complained, staff shrugged it off and we paid full price for a horrible meal. NEVER AGAIN! Would eat at Taco Bell before this restaurant!

I am really disappointed, for my first time here. I know there would some exceptions and different staff everyday, but I went on a Monday for lunch. The food was not bad but the service was bad. Ordered some birria tacos, they were not good enough but still edible and I was hungry, but after touching the food you need napkins, maybe a refill of water, the waiter was not anywhere to be found. Everybody kept chilling in the kitchen. I saw other people also had to stand up and almost go in the kitchen to ask for their waiter or anybody that could give some napkins, the restaurant was almost empty so there are no excuses. Nobody was busy, just lazy. I don't think I can give this place another chance.
