This was our first time eating at La Madeline. The atmosphere was nice, similar to a French bistro. I had the French Country Breakfast and my wife had the American Breakfast. Both were tasty and served hot. I also entered the coffee, fresh and not bitter. I found the ordering process a little confusing at first, but I am sure if we returned it would be easy. This is more a self service restaurant but the staff were friendly.

My sandwich and soup were good. HOWEVER, my utensils were not clean and had crud on them, sickening! The employees were uphelpful and the ordering layout is confusing.

The quality of service has significantly decreased over the past year or so. Most of the empty tables were dirty with plates, cups, napkins and crumbs (about 10 tables). The restaurant was not even 1/3 filled of patrons. It took 25 minutes for me to receive my order; my order was wrong. The food runner/ cashier was rude when I told her my order was wrong. There were at least six employees present. Manager had several excuses as to why the wait was so long. The waitress was not new to La Madeleine’s yet still didn’t know what the French Country Breakfast consists of. The food was delicious, as usual, so I hope this review will be read by the management team. La Madeleine was such a great restaurant but has consistently declined in cleanliness and good service.
Tried to take the family for brunch time. Went to order and manager sent us to the to go counter to order after standing at the register for 5 minutes. Walked over to the to go counter and the young lady said she could not take our order. Walk back to the regular register counter to order and no one would take our order. What a joke! Walked out and went to Perkins road and got service immediately. Jefferson hwy is horrible service or lack of

They have a nice variety or options, which makes it great for a small group. The service was slow and the staff seemed confused as to what needed to be prepared and what was already prepared, which made the wait time long. The food was average. The potatoes in my vegetable soup walked a fine line between raw and al dente. The restaurant was extremely tidy and clean, as usually. The pastry case was emaculate.
