Authentic Mexican, very good food. The salsa was the best part of the meal for sure! I would go back just to have it again.

Tacos, tacos, tacos. This is the place we go for our Mexican street tacos fix. Went for lunch and got a chicken and al pastor taco on corn tortillas. They came out hot, full of meat and topped with onions and cilantro. YUM! We also go the chori queso dip. How can you go wrong with sizzling cheese and chorizo? The chips are warm and fresh. The salsa just the right amount of spice and slightly chunky. Service is fast and you can't beat the price.

My go to for aunthentic Mexican/Honduran food....as you can tell these pictures are from multiple visits to the restaurant.....because my family and I crave it atleast once a week. At this place, you can basically make your choice of meat in to anything from tacos, burritos, tortas, gorditas, etc. You sit yourself down and they will bring you a menu, basket of chips and salsa. If you like GUACAMOLE, theirs is really good but you have to order it since it doesn't automatically come with the chips. Definitely recommend it! MENUDO is served only Fridays and Saturdays. It has so much meat and just the right flavor. I love adding onions, cilantro, and lime to it (which you have to order because it doesn't come with it). CHILE RELLENO was very good with ground beef stuffed inside. The outer layer of the Chile is very soft and juicy. It comes with a side of rice and beans. TACOS - I usually get the lengua (beef tongue) which is very flavorful and juicy. A squeeze of lime and green salsa makes it extra yummy! (They will provide you a bottle of salsa) PUPUSA - Comes with salsa and cabbage. They don't have different options like other places like chicharron or jalapeí±o but the their pupusas are really good! GORDITAS - How do I begin explaining this mouth watering goodnesss.. I usually get a Gordita with carnitas. The mayo, lettuce, and cotija cheese is the best combo ever. CALDO DE RES - This soup has very huge chunks of veggies and meat pieces. Very flavorful and it comes with a side of rice. I love how it came out very hot. They have this every day! Great for when you're sick. TORTAS - (not pictured here but should be) I usually get the torta with lengua. They toast the buns perfectly and have just the right amount of meat inside. My goal is to try everything on the menu since everything is so good!! Highly recommend this place if you're craving some good Mexican/Honduran food! *Baby friendly with high chair and booster seats!

Came here earlier today because I was really craving tacos, and I thought it was just okay. The service was fast and they're very sweet as they give complementary chips and dip. We ordered six steak tacos and the total came to about 18 dollars before tip, not too expensive but they're are cheaper places with tacos of the same quality. For the tacos, I wish they would've put an extra tortilla around each one. I seen that on other pictures on Yelp that they did put two, so maybe they started to recently change it up. Also, the steak was a little dry. We only had the tacos today so maybe next time we'll try something else, but so far everything was average.

THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD ON EARTH!!!!! Soooo fresh. I am so obsessed with their salsa and pineapple. I always get fajitas with pineapple grilled within.

Hands down best authentic Mexican restaurant in Baton Rouge. I always recommend them when asked. Carne Asada is my absolute favorite!

Classic. Authentic. Great Mexican food at a great price. It's attached to a market and has a good selection of Mexican favorites. Great for lunch and taco Tuesday.

I first came here a few years ago and remember it being a bit dirty and not the most welcoming. Well I went back today and can say it has improved upon the atmosphere and cleanliness! It's still a hole-in-the-wall type but it was better than I remembered. The food is pretty good! I tried the pork al pastor tostada and lengua & barbacoa tacos. It was all so flavorful. The sauces they give you on the side are great as well. Just beware that the red one is a slow burn. The complementary chips and salsa are a nice touch as well. So what I didn't like about this place is that when you pay for your food at the counter they don't let you see the ticket beforehand. They told me the total, showed me the tip screen then charged my card. It wasn't until afterwards that I noticed that they have a "Service Charge 10%" added to the bill. That wasn't taxes either as there was another line for that. So I inadvertently tipped them an additional 18% ON TOP of that 10% charge. Not into that bit of deception.... Anyways I'd come back for the food but would maybe get it to go or ask for the ticket before I pay so I can figure out what the heck a service charge is.

The BEST barbacoa tacos in town. This place is a nice hole in the wall where you get a list of daily specials in addition to traditional authentic mexican tacos. Their corn tortillas are flavorful and fluffy. The tacos are garnished with onions and cilantro and you get two homemade salsas to go with them. Their chips are served with a different chunky salsa that tastes fresh and amazing. Try the limonade if they have it!

I wanted to give this place 5 stars so badly and, if I were rating just for the food, I probably would. We came in because we had two different people (who didn't know each other) suggest this restaurant as the most authentic Mexican place in Baton Rouge. There was spanish music playing in the background, a telenovela on television, and everyone there spoke only Spanish to us. I was so excited. The problem was that waitress literally messed up every item we ordered and then told us "I wrote it down and this is what you ordered". We were the only customers in the restaurant at that time and it was so annoying to know that she didn't listen to what we said AND didn't want to take responsibility. When the food came out it was delicious, but poor service can ruin an entire meal. If I were you, I would have the wait staff repeat your order to you or write it down for them.

This place is one of my favorite restaurants. It is authentic Mexican food done SUPER well. Seriously- the best in the Baton Rouge area. Everyone should for sure check it out.

Stopped here and picked up the chiliquilles verdes for breakfast and they were delicious. The green sauce was spicy enough and they had two beautifully cooked fries eggs on top with still crispy tortilla chips and a light topping of China's sour cream that was perfect.
