Longest wait time ever for food. I called & placed my order over the phone at 5:43pm. Get there at 6:30 food still not ready. It's now 7:00 & my order was just placed while in store & not over the phone. She also said in house orders come first before phone orders which is crazy cause what's the point placing a order over the phone if its not gone get started on. So beware, don't place orders over the phone.

Extremely slow service. Sat around waiting on my order for an hour and a half & couldn’t even get what I wanted AFTER placing my order. Yes, I was refunded. However, I should not have been allowed to place an order if they were sold out for the night. Alternate options weren’t even available to me because they took out “just enough” which is fine… but I had already placed my order and wasted time waiting.

Ordered food online through DoorDash at 11am. I arrived to the restaurant at 11:40, pickup time. When I arrived the orders were not ready and I was told by the cashier there was nothing she could do. After she proceeds to power on the DoorDash tablet they use to receive orders and bring it to the owner in the back to fulfill the orders. Instead of fulfilling already paid for orders the owner canceled the orders! She didn’t come out and explain or offer any solutions. I will never be back again.

The food was good BUT i have to warn everyone that the wait will be ridiculous. I ordered two Fish and Shrimp plates, she originally told me it would be about a 30 minute wait that turned into a wait of an hour and 45 minutes. Some people that ordered before me were there waiting almost 2 hours. I don’t think I’ll be returning until the wait times change.

My family and I was stopping through coming from Virginia Beach EVERYTHING we ordered I mean EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS. The staff was top notch family atmosphere. We ordered dessert let's just say YOU MUST ORDER DESSERTS. Ambassador Rick and Family thank y'all see y'all on the way back ✨🤲🏾✨

OMG! Why ya'll ain't tell me about this plaaacccee?!? I had a PORK CHOP sandwich!! With onion rings. When I tell you that Pork chop was SO GOOD! Well Seasoned & fried to perfection...OMG! The onion rings were good too! Thick cut and well seasoned. My daughter picked up my food but she said the ladies were so nice. I most definitely will return!

Took a 30 minute detour to get here on our way back to Houston and it was so very worth it. Had the fried fish Acadian and jambalaya pasta. Was full at 50% of my plate but powered through to 90% because it was so good.

The people there are so nice.

I don't write reviews often but, me and my cousin we're driving through and happened to decide this place with no expectations. We walked in and immediately brought me back to showing up at grandma's house and somehow a 40 course meal would be whipped up in what seemed like an instance. We told them we were from the PNW passing through and they welcomed us in as if we had been coming everyday. When we got back to the motel to eat the Catfish Acadiana, the greens, and I got mac n cheese my cousin got fried okra we're so good I wanted to start singing the gospel. This is enough for 5 stars but when I ate the banana pudding, I had a ratatouille moment, flashbacks to sitting on a stool between my grandma and grandpa hearing stories about life during the depression and I definitely had to act as if had something in my eye. I know this sounds overblown but it's been about a year and a half since we ate there and I haven't shut up about it since. It's one of my favorite parts of that whole cross-country road trip. Thank you for a memory that anytime I talk to my cousin we can reminisce.

Great spot for home cooking ave friendly staff. Felt like Mawmaw's kitchen! Green beans ave mac and cheese are awesome sides. I went with the special, Fried Ribs and they did not disappoint!! Three huge ribs, tender on the outside and crunchy outside perfectly battered. I will be back for the dark meat fried chicken. Don't forget to save room for the banana pudding! So creamy and the waffle cone bowl was a pleasant addition.

I had a grilled chicken potato. It is not listed on the menu, but they offer loaded potatoes with chicken, shrimp, brisket, and more. The customer service alone stands out. The staff was very patient and informative while I was ordering. It was my first time. They were very attentive as well while I waited for my food. The food is made to order which is always a plus. I do not mind waiting when I know it will be hot and fresh. The potato was soft and delicious. I will be back for sure.
