Growing up in a small West Texas town, I was surrounded by some of the best Mexican food imaginable—treasured family recipes brought straight from Mexico by dear friends. So when I visited Los Reyes Mexican Grill on Lee Drive, I knew right away I had found something special. The first bite transported me back to my childhood at Wela and Welo’s table.

I ordered the ribeye steak—juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned—served with fluffy rice and creamy refried beans. The three soft tacos, filled with flavorful ground beef, came with the same comforting sides, I demolished before taking the picture. A cup of rich, velvety queso and complimentary crisp chips rounded out my meal perfectly.

Yasmine and Ashley at the front counter were warm and welcoming, even taking the time to make my four-year-old laugh while we waited. I also had the pleasure of chatting with Manager Adam, whose passion for his staff and the food was clear. I edited this review, I forgot to thank the cooks!

I’d happily make the 45-minute drive for another plate. Los Reyes is more than just a restaurant—it’s a taste of home. Viva La México!

I had 3 margaritas and one beer spilled on me by the waiter. I expected at least some compensation and while I spoke briefly to the manager there was no remorse. This is honestly pretty unacceptable behavior. I didn’t expect free food but I still paid full price for my food this is no way to run an establishment.

Our first time going here and I got the Grilled Chicken and as soon as I took a bite I was in shock. Literally the best chicken I have ever eaten. Chips and salsa was also very good. Our server, Lissy, was also very nice as well, she even bagged our togo boxes! Will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful waitress (Melanie?)
Mediocre margarita.

When we arrived, the restaurant informs us that they “don't use OpenTable.” While we were still seared quickly it would have been extremely frustrating to have a confirmed reservations and others joining us, had we not been able to get a table, since it was very crowded. I asked about my confirmation and showed the app, but was told “we don't know anything about that.” I would strongly recommend phoning and verifying that a reservation is confirmed, prior to arriving.

The rise of cilantro has discouraged frequenting Mexican restaurants.

Clearly there’s some communication issue with whoever is running their social media. Posting “happy hour every day” and then acting like this is not the Lee drive location… while literally posting the band that is currently playing at the Lee drive location. “We never have happy hour for cinco de mayo”

My order of the combo chicken and steak fajitas were seasoned and seared very well and tender and I enjoyed it along with the black beans and rice. My wife ordered the appetizer Mexican pizza. The flavor of the ground beef on the pizza was really good but it was dry and with the refried beans added it made the pizza just okay. It could have been awesome with a little moisture added to the meat. Other than that the sides of black beans, rice and chicken tortillas soup were well seasoned and delicious. We frequently go to the one on Coursey Blvd and we love them. We will be going back to the Lee drive location and we will be asking first the waiter Olivia again because she was friendly, knowledgeable and fast with our order and service. Along with the food, she was the best part of our visit!

Definitely would no be coming back, we called for an order and I specifically ask the staff that I wanted fajitas from lunch, my husband comes to pick up the food and they charged dinner price which was about $4-$8 extra, also the steak tasted and the smell felt old.
