Louisiana Lagniappe Restaurant

From the first whiff drifting out of the kitchen, I knew this restaurant had the kind of culinary confidence usually reserved for magicians and people who assemble IKEA furniture without instructions. Each bite was so outrageously good that I briefly considered writing my will on a napkin, just to document where my loyalty now belongs. By dessert, I was prepared to legally change my last name to whatever the chef's is, purely out of respect.

Love this place! We come here every time we pass through from Florida. We love to sit at the bar! They are so friendly and give such great service!

Jack was a great waiter. My good was cool. I didn't care for how the crab meat had peices of shell, but over all it was a good time.

Service was great from start to finish. The grilled shrimp app is great. The salad seemed a bit wilted. The fish with lump crab is great. There aren't any chocolate options for dessert, but the options available was good - bread pudding, cheesecake, ice cream.

We have traveled all through South Louisiana, and this is the best restaurant we’ve eaten yet. Everything came out perfectly. The service was excellent and the black drum with softshell Croft crawfish fried with a cream sauce and lump crab meat was just unbelievable. I must stop every time. I’m in Baton Rouge.

Found this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and glad I did! Even without a reservation I was seated right away. The wait staff was attentive without being overly so, the food came out quickly. The portions were great, the food itself was fresh, tasty, and wonderful. I'll definitely be going back my next trip to Baton Rouge

This is probably our sixth or seventh time visiting, and Louisiana Lagnappe never disappoints. The service is great. Ricky was excellent. Not sure who makes their soups, but they deserve a raise. We also had the seafood egg rolls. As pescatarians, she had the black drum special, and I the tuna steak. All the food was made of high quality ingredients, and all perfectly prepared. It couldn't have been a better meal.

We eat here often. The food is consistently well prepared. The prices are not cheap but the dinner is generous, usually includes warm bread, salad and baked stuffed potato with each dish. I usually bring food home. The staff is attentive, polite, and helpful. There are usually interesting off-menu specials, but my fav is the fish with chipotle shrimp.

One of the best meals in a long time. We had the marinaed crab finger appetizer, and the bisque, for the meal I had the pasta with shrimp and everything was fanastic. The service was spot on. I will be going back.

Our sever was Matthew and he was very attentive. We were seated quickly and served our drinks quickly. The apps, dinner salad and entrees were a little slower to come out than at other restaurants but the food was great. We definitely loved the stuffed mushrooms and the oysters. The sensation salad and dressing was delicious! My only reasons for 4 and not 5 stars is that I mentioned in the reservation that we were celebrating my daughter's birthday and this was not shared with Matthew. He did accommodate her with a blueberry bread pudding and he put the candles I brought on it. My other daughter and I ordered the au gratin and it was very soupy and not seasoned as well as everything else. Lastly, my husband's fried catfish was very fishy smelling and tasting. Overall, we definitely enjoyed ourselves and we will be back!
