I give this restaurant low marks for having frozen cheese potatoes. If they made their own, I would go there. It's a food allergy and they have no substitute

Oh man, this is place is dangerous. Best seafood I've ever had, not just in Louisiana, but in my entire life. Freshness is one thing but that flavor cannot be beat. We went with our server's recommendations of the various daily specials and each entree knocked it out of the park. I genuinely cannot understand how something can be this good. A real gem in Baton Rouge. We contemplated coming back a second time during our very short trip because we feared nothing would live up to it- obviously untrue, such amazing food all around in the South - but an absolute must for anyone visiting the area.

The service was spot on front the moment we arrived until we left the restaurant. We tried the fish almandine which was fresh caught drum and the large gulf shrimp barbecue with sensation salad and twice baked potatoes. Everything was Superior. James was out server and deserves the recognition. Thank you

My family and I ate here for the first time yesterday. It was my husband's birthday. We were sat in a corner because we brought our toddler. The first waiter who came to our table to give us water and a high chair seemed really aloof. Our actual waiter, while friendly, asked how our food was, my husband said his fried fish was bland and he responded "ok". Nothing was done about it. Also, it was his birthday and we ordered a blueberry bread Pudding. It was compted from the bill and no one even wished him a happy birthday or acted remotely like they cared. Also, noticed they charge YOU to run a credit card. Literally at the bottom of the receipt had cash price and card price. The atmosphere was pleasant but the experience lacked what we were expecting after reading the reviews prior to making a reservation.

I cannot say enough about how good the food is! Wow! The service is on point! The atmosphere is very nice, but feels crowed and crammed in and thus quite loud. This is not a deal breaker! I will be going back!

Louisiana Lagniappe has never disappointed. The marinated crab claws that we had as an appetizer were very good. The broccoli and cheddar with crab soup was another one of the tasty soups that Lagniappe’s offers from time to time. Of course, if you have not had their seafood stuffed peppers then you are missing out. There is no skimping on the seafood. Every fish dish is mouth watering. The service is on point and the ambiance is just right. I always look forward to dinner here. This restaurant is a must try if you haven’t already done so.

Amazing! Favorite place to eat in Baton Rouge! The best seafood, and amazing specials. The hot berry mule is also delicious.

Only thing stopping me from giving it a perfect 5 stars is the parking situation. Other than that, everything was phenomenal. The food was delicious, and the staff was exemplary.

First time visiting Louisiana lap restaurant was for a date night with my husband. We got the crabcake appetizer, which was great! I got a blueberry lemon, drop martini with it. There was a large wait, but the food was well worth it we will be returning! Service was also great.

I had a great time at this place. The place feels like a locals restaurant that knows its audience. It is decorated very simply and honest was very unassuming. I was very surprised to find that the service was stellar and extremely professional. The food was much more elevated than expected. We got crab wontons, boudin balls, and eggplant to share as appetizers. The wontons could have been a little more filled in my opinion and the boudin balls were not stellar, but the eggplant stole the show for appetizers. For main course I got the chipotle dish which was served with black drum topped with shrimp. It was FANTASTIC!

Not African American friendly....starting with the three "Karens" hostesses. If you can tolerate and get pass them, ask for waitor, Neil.Neil was very welcoming. He provided excellent service and was very knowledgeable of the menu. He is a true example of diversity and inclusion. The food was very tasty, fresh and good. The food came out fast and was hot.Outside of the hostesses, everything was great!!!!

First visit to this Baton Rouge institution. Great menu with lots of good seafood choices. Service was a bit too leisurely for us and some ordered appetizers were never delivered so I can't comment on the stuffed mushrooms. The food we did have was excellent including fish specials and soup. It's definitely on the pricey side.Parking: Parking is difficult. Had to find it in an adjacent lot.Kid-friendliness: Not really a great place for children.
