I'm from Mobile, Alabama and visited the store for the first time a few days ago. This store in my humble opinion is a gimmick. It exploits the ignorant and continues to perpetuate the cycle of people not doing their proper research before buying supplements and vitamins.

Case in point: I went there with my godmother to let her look around for some collagen peptides. I showed her the one that I use where it clearly labels all six types of collagen and where they come from. This includes bovine from cows, their milk, fish, chicken and their eggs. When you look at Lucy's collagen, they have some that is as expensive as $120 and it doesn't even cover all types nor does it specifically describe the types that it does cover. However, they make sure to put "collagen peptides" in capital letters all over the front of it to promote that when people don't know that there may be other types that they need above and beyond the few types that is offered in that bottle. All they know is collagen is collagen.

Here's another example. When looking around, I saw a supplement for thyroid support. This is tremendously misleading and could get somebody sick. For example, when you look at the thyroid support drugs, on the label, it says that it has iodine in it. I have graves disease which is a thyroid autoimmune disorder where the body attacks my thyroid and causes me to make too much thyroid hormone. In other words, I'm hyperthyroid. However, somebody with hashimoto's also has an autoimmune condition except in their case, they make too little thyroid hormone so they are hypothyroid. They could use the iodine, but someone like myself should steer clear of it because my body already makes too much of it. The label doesn't say that it is for people with hypothyroidism. It just says that it's for thyroid support. It doesn't even have a warning label about people who are hyperthyroid. Nothing!

If somebody just discovered they have thyroid issues and they go to this location looking for help, they would grab this without realizing they should not necessarily have it depending on what type of thyroid issue they have. It could be a goiter, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, hashimoto's, graves disease, thyroid cancer... There are a multitude of thyroid issues where this particular thyroid support supplement will do absolutely nothing for you or could make your condition worse! It is tremendously misleading to refer to it as thyroid for support when it's really for people who are hypothyroid and even then, it depends what type of hypothyroidism they have.

I have been using vitamins and supplements since I was 27 years old. I am now 46 and a half. There are companies out here who have dedicated their entire businesses to top of the line products, cutting-edge technologies and insisting on the best ingredients possible. These people are either selling their store brand or are only working with specific manufacturers that I have no proof of knowing if they are any better and yet they're charging the amount of money I'm paying for my top-of-the-line vitamins. I've never heard of any of these companies and again, I've been researching health and wellness for 20 years.

Unless you are well versed on what your body needs and you are good on reading labels, in my humble opinion, you should still clear of this place. You can't just go in, read the front on the bottle, grab something, overpay for it and go. You might start feeling crazy and not even know why.

We walked around for 5 minutes. We got no customer service. A guy walked in the young lady walked up to him and asked can I help you find something. She ignored us completely.

Luck's Health Foods. This is the place to get very good and knowledgeable service. My go to place for body aches and pain aid. Everyone there was very polite and willing to assist me with my wellness goal.Thank you to all the crew.

Lucy and her crew are a plethora of information on supplements and there uses. They are always friendly and I know I’m supporting a local business. Lucy will always take time to explain what’s needed or how to use things, which is worth every penny I spend here. Also this is the actual street view. Smudges are cars passing.

Had everything I was looking for that I can't seem to find anywhere else. Lucy was very attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Great experience! I will definitely be back here.
