I have been going to Magpie since high-school (basically since they have been opened) and it is the best coffee and pastry shop in BR. My Husband and I actually look forward to our Friday and Saturday morning runs there every week.

Stopped here on the way out of town and OMG the vegan breakfast sandwich is the best. I’ve ever had even my dad, who usually hates anything vegan said it was super tasty. I also got the superfood latte which was 10/10. It was a bit busy when I went (around 10 am on a Saturday so to be expected), if I could go again I would go earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. Wish I lived in Baton Rouge, I’d be here every weekend!

This was mine and my fiance's first time here. We have been to just about every local coffee shop in Baton Rouge and this one is easily one of the best in town!! Ellen and Karli were so pleasant to talk to, very helpful with suggestions, and definitely were a big part of why our first time here was so amazing!
I can't speak on the food, but the food all looked like it was amazing and the dietary options were extremely inclusive! Will definitely be coming back!

POPTARTS ARE THE BEST IN THE CITY!!!!! I love love love the panini with feta and tomato jam, omg omg omg!!! The grit bowl is amazing topped with fresh grown green onions in their garden!!! Love it here!

We were looking rlto support a local business as we were passing thru. So glad we stopped at Magpie. We had the grilled cheese panini, Chipotle chicken paining and a breakfast sandwich. Also Chai, cappuccino and a latte as well as cold ginger plum tea and cinnamon coffee bread. Everything was DELICIOUS! Great, laid-back atmosphere, good prices, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend!

I had an iced pistachio latte and banana bread and not only was it delicious but surprisingly affordable. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. I stayed for a few hours to do work and the inside got pretty crowded at around noon. Still I highly recommend.
