Very good donuts!
LISTEN - I wouldn’t recommend this place to my old colleagues whom I hate still today. lol
Like this place has been a Staples in BR and I’m quick to praise them to my family in Lafayette (Meches would neva) buuut the customer service?!?! Straight 🗑️. Like why have a foreign employee at the front who’s super rude and not friendly. This man doesn’t even say good morning OR thank you!! Like Hooooow Ms Mary Lee?!?! Why is he still in the front taking orders?! Super confusing and irritating - IM SPENDING MONEY HERE PEOPLE! Annnnnnd the donuts not even hot unless it’s the tiny Vietnamese chic - WHOM I LOVE - is working. THIS IS WHY I WILL ALWAYS SUGGEST the Oneal or Jefferson (BEST) locations. I just hate that this one is close to my house and job 😤. Do better Mary Lee or I’ll keep posting every week - heck imma make a video!!!!

Mary Lee’s Do-Nuts has long been a staple for many in search of a sweet breakfast treat or afternoon snack. However, my recent experience at this location was less than satisfactory, leading me to question its reputed charm.
To begin with, the doughnuts themselves did not live up to the hype. The variety, while extensive, did not translate to quality. There was also a noticeable lack of freshness, as if the doughnuts had been sitting out for too long.
Equally disappointing was the service. The staff seemed disinterested and unengaged, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. Basic customer service courtesies, such as greeting customers warmly or offering assistance in selecting from the menu, were noticeably absent. They let me walk out with 6 individual bags instead of offering me a larger one-I was dropping bags everywhere🤦🏽♀️Additionally, the wait time was longer than expected, even though there were few customers in line.
In conclusion, my visit to Mary Lee's Doughnuts was underwhelming. The combination of subpar food and lackluster service means I won't be returning anytime soon. For those seeking quality doughnuts and a pleasant experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Whenever i seem to go to this location the cashier has an attitude, i get a simple order of donut holes and not all the times they are warm. This morning i waited in line for a bit never seen them bring fresh donut holes out so i asked the cashier does she mind warming them . The cashier stated , do you want to touch the bag they are warm if i warm them and they get to hard Im not refunding you. The attitude was uncaused for all she had to say was they was fresh and hot to assume i would ask for a refund on a $2 order is insane.

My first experience with this place was very unpleasant! I have never been to this establishment before and was treated very rudely. I am a doordasher and was simply there to pick up an order and was screamed at because I wasn't standing at the correct location the store employee thought I should be standing even though I had never visited this store ever in my life. From my experience I will never return there to give them my business. She should not be customer facing if she is going to treat customer in that manner.
Always good service and people are great. They have a fair enough variety and what's available is always well prepared. They may not have pickled Google Berry Pie doughnuts but who needs that anyhow? This is definitely a location that has been around quite a while in baton rouge. That good quality and very consistent product. I've added a picture of eclairs for comparison to the location or their competition down the street Justus (something close to name of shop at Fla. Bvld. & Sharp Rd
Parking: There's probably less than 10 places to park which is not a big issue unless it's high traffic time. Which if that's the case you need to be careful because it is a small parking lot.
Wheelchair accessibility: I'm sure you could get a wheelchair in if need be but I would recommend having someone go with you that does not need wheelchair
