Mike Anderson's - Baton Rouge

My family celebrated my grandmother’s 70th birthday at Mike Anderson’s on Lee Drive, and I just want to say how amazing the overall experience was from the reservation process and communication to the staff, food, and the entire event.

The event coordinator / manager, Michael, was such a breath of fresh air. He was awesome, attentive, and extremely accommodating. Even if there were any challenges behind the scenes such as short staffing or setup adjustments, it was never noticeable to us. Everything ran perfectly.

Our wait staff, Ethan and Macy, were phenomenal as well. Their service was friendly, professional, and seamless throughout the celebration. The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone is still talking about how great everything tasted.

We are still raving about how wonderful the evening was. My grandmother said it was the best birthday party she has ever had. Thank you so much to the entire Mike Anderson’s team for making her day so special.

The restaurant was very nice and I love the atmosphere. It was nice watching the fishes in the aquarium. I ordered the broiled seafood platter, and the only thing I enjoyed was the shrimp supreme, and the black drum fillet was ok. I ordered my husband, the same platter and he really enjoyed it.

When do you ever get to see a kangaroo...lol went to have dinner. Had the grilled chicken, stuffed potatoe and sweet potatoe fries with crab claws. MA doesn't disappoint.

I was seated right away but it was almost 20 minutes before a server came. She apologized but still, 20 minutes?
The food was great. I had the Whole catfish with a baked potato and neither could have been prepared any better.

Mike Andersons is a VIBE. Sit at the bar. The service and the conversation is better!!! The food was good and being able to watch college football while dining was a PLUS!!!!

70th birthday party for ~30 family members and close friends was amazing! If you want a great experience for a special occasion, contact them in advance to plan whatever you want. You won't be disappointed!

There was a 30min wait when we arrived but they have a full service section by the bar that is a first come first serve and there was a table open there so we took it. Ally was our server and she was GREAT! It was our first time there and she took the time to answer our questions and explain the items. The food was really good. We enjoyed everything.

I got lunch on 8/24/25 around 1:10 pm ish. The hostess was nice and friendly. The chefs messed up my online order. It's about their 4th time doing that , normally I'll just ask them to fix it when I get to the restaurant but this time they didn't even try. I was empathetic to them being busy but there's no excuse for them to mess up meals that cost over $60!!! Like the fish belonged to a kid's meal and I asked for extra shrimp instead of oyster and they gave me 1 extra shrimp. Plus I asked for sour cream instead of avocado on my shrimp tacos. I normally try to avoid complaining but I spent my hard earned money to get quality food and service. It was at the location on Lee drive. It was a to go order

This place was freaking cold !! Group of 12! About the time the food got to us it was cold again! Food was not good at all!

The waitress tried. She was good to us.

Ordered the seafood platter and the All American burger. Both were delicious. Service was great and quick considering the place was packed. Def recommend!!
